This cosy ground floor apartment is the perfect place to stay while visiting the market town of Pickering, situated on the southern edge of the North York Moors National Park. Potter Hill Cottage is the ideal bolthole for a couple to get to know the local area, or just to relax on a romantic break.

Just a two minute walk away and you are at the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway station where you can catch trains to Grosmont and Whitby, travelling across the moors strewn with heather and wonderful scenery. Stop off at Goathland, the village where the very popular TV series Heartbeat was filmed.

Pickering has something for everybody from great little independent shops, an antique centre, wine bars, traditional pubs and great restaurants and takeaways. For those of you who love the great outdoors, Pickering is just on the edge of the Dalby Forest, great for walks or trying out the mountain bike trails. From the absolute beginner to the world class XC loops, there are lots of wonderful leisurely bike rides or challenging World Cup trails.

For a couple to have a lovely relaxing place to return to at the end of a day visiting the sights of Yorkshire, Potter Hill Cottage is just the place.

GROUND FLOOR
Entrance Hall: Large hallway with hat rack and a chair, leading to all rooms.
Lounge: A beautiful room which will make you feel at home straight away. With two comfy sofas and a gas stove in an inglenook fireplace, this is the perfect place to relax after a day out sightseeing. Either cosy up and read a book under the standard lamp or catch up on your TV programmes on the large screen smart TV.
Kitchen Diner: The kitchen is fully equipped with integrated fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing dryer. There is a built under electric oven with ceramic hob and modern hood over. Around the corner by the sink is a lovely wall mounted plate rack. At the other end of this spacious room is a wooden table with seating for four.
Outside: A door leads from the kitchen to the lovely rear courtyard with a table and chairs so you could enjoy a meal alfresco surrounded by colourful shrubs and flowers.
Bedroom: This beautiful room with its bay window and double bed with brass bedstead is the perfect place to retire to at the end of a long day on the moors. There is also a triple wardrobe, two bedside cabinets with lamps, chest of drawers with mirror and two chairs.
Bathroom: With large walk-in shower, WC, wash basin with mirror and shelf over. Heated towel rail.

Pets: Sorry no dogs.

The owner will reserve a space for you on arrival. Please note there are no electric car charging facilities at the property. Cars must not be charged from the property . Electric car charging points can be found at Vivis Lane Car Park YO18 8DL and Eastgate Car Park YO18 7DP.

Potter Hill Cottage was perfect for us. The decor and furnishings are lovely, the cottage is very cosy and comfortable and ideally located for the steam train and for exploring the area. The owner was extremely thoughtful and made us feel very welcome. We had a wonderful holiday and we are already planning to return.

We loved this house as soon we went inside. It was very comfortable, with all the facilities that we needed. It was ideally situated in the town, so much so that we did have to use the car until we were going home. The owner wasvery welcoming and friendly.

What an amazing place to stay. Pickering is delightful, everything on hand. We have visited some really beautiful places too in this lovely area. Hopefully we will visit again soon.
