Set on the unspoilt Suffolk coast, Walberswick is a nostalgic English dream. The picturesque village enjoys a long sand and shingle beach backed by grassy dunes and is surrounded by marsh and heathland which is protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Walberswick is popular with walkers, birdwatchers, cyclists and children, who love to crab from Walberswick’s wooden footbridges. Even in the height of summer, it is still possible to find solitude and an empty stretch of beach just a short walk across the fields from Troy. The village has two excellent pubs, The Anchor and The Bell. There are many fantastic walks from Walberswick including the Suffolk Coast Path leading to the historic village of Dunwich. Other attractions nearby include the seaside town of Southwold, which can be accessed via the small foot ferry (summer season only) or by taking a gentle stroll along the old railway path. RSPB Minsmere Reserve is only a short drive away.
