Fantastic location and for Fowey this property has an excellent garden. Anyone who knows Fowey knows how rare this is for a house / cottage so close to the town. The big let down for this property is the damp, the lower floor suffered from this even with the humidifier on the whole of our stay. The cottage felt like the heating had not been on forRead more a while. Any clothes left in the ground floor bedroom felt damp. Such a shame otherwise a perfect place to stay in Fowey Hide

We booked the house as it had been home of a relative of my husband and his cousin back in the 60s. We enjoyed our stay as it was super easy to explore Fowey and travel around by boat from the house, it is close to plenty of places to eat and drink . The church is behind and chimes on the hour but I have to say it did not stop any of us sleeping ! Read moreThe car park is a good walk but we managed to drop our stuff down and collect easily ,we found doing so after the car park mini bus had stopped and the shops starting close gave us able space . The house is interesting and has everything we needed. The garden is really nice and with good weather we made use of it we also managed to avoid any issues with the seagulls , they are all nesting on roofs and are very vocal. Hide

Very poor, damp and shabby and not a 4*property; we understand the restrictions and constraints around renovating a grade 2 listed property but this property is in no way a 4* holiday rental. If we werent restricted we would have left straight away.
