Situated in one of the most picturesque streets in the quaint fishing village of Appledore, Muffy Cottage is surrounded by pastel coloured terraced fishing cottages, this charming part of the village has art galleries, interesting shops, character pubs, restaurants, cafés and historic quay all within just a few minutes walking distance from the doorstep. The North Devon Maritime Museum is just up the road and situated in a Grade ll listed building which was the home of several master mariners and ship owners over the past 200 years, and worth a visit. Muffy Cottage was built in the eighteenth century and still retains some of its original features such as floors, doors and an original fireplace.
The stylish cosy lounge has a spacious feel for a cottage, and is a mixture of antique and contemporary furniture. Comfy sofas and a wood burner are perfect for relaxing in front of during the cooler months. The light and airy kitchen has built in units and plenty of space for preparing meals. An oak dining table seats 4 comfortably. There is a handy utility area housing a washing machine and full height cupboard with extra glasses, crockery for dining alfresco. Two lovely bright good sized bedrooms, one with shower and basin and a family bathroom occupy the first floor. The private enclosed cottage garden offers a perfect space for breakfast and dining. Whether you’ll be crabbing on the quay, playing a round of golf at the North Devon Golf Club, walking the coastal path or soaking up the live music at one of Appledore’s many characterful pubs, this pretty cottage is the perfect base for enjoying holidays with family and friends all year round.

GARDEN & PARKING: Enclosed pretty cottage garden with paved area with table and chairs and bench seat. Unloading available outside of the cottage. Free parking available on the roadside at the end of the road on the Quayside and further car park 100yards away at top of street in Odun road. Weekly permits available for local car parks, further details available on booking.
Power and Heat: Electricity and gas included in rent, heated towel rail in bathroom. Starter pack for wood burner supplied, further supplies available locally.
