The Haggs is a stunning recently refurbished four-bedroom cottage with sea views situated in a quiet location in the heart of Sandsend. Sandsend, one of North Yorkshire's prettiest coastal villages, is set at the foot of Lythe Bank and only a two-mile beach walk away from Whitby. Pretty holiday cottages and houses are set in the stunning cliff backdrop. Beneath them is the award-winning beach, with streams leading to the sea, perfect for children to have a splash in or feed the ducks. Alternatively, a walk in the neighbouring woodlands or along the cliffs is equally as charming. Originally Sandsend was two separate villages, each formed along its own beck, it now stands as one united village. There are interesting shops, an award-winning restaurant, cafes, pubs and an art gallery. With beautiful views of the coastline and its famous historic neighbour, Whitby, it is a truly magical place.

The cottage has plenty of parking on the block paved drive and then you enter into a wonderful home with everything you need for your perfect holiday. Enter into a reception hall, which leads into a lovely sitting room with comfortable seating, and living flame gas fire. Also, downstairs you can enjoy the fantastic modern kitchen diner (with Miele & Neff appliances) with views to the garden and out to sea. Spend time with friends and family enjoying a meal at the table while discussing your plans for the next day, or if you are feeling up to it after a day out sightseeing go into the games room and play table football or use the games console. Also, downstairs is a modern shower room (incorporating a power shower) and a large utility room with a washing machine. On the first floor you will find four bedrooms and a bathroom with double walk-in shower and a luxury double ended bath.

Outside to the rear, through the patio doors from the kitchen/diner, you will find a large patio area with table and seating, ideal for alfresco dining, and a lawned fully enclosed garden area with views over the sea.

Lounge: Very cosy room with Living flame gas fire in surround, three two-seater sofas and a padded footstool, Smart TV on stand and a lamp.

Games Room: Down 2 steps, with table football, large screen TV and games console, mini fridge.
Utility: With sink, washing machine, storage space & coat hooks.
Shower Room: Off the kitchen is a modern fully tiled shower room with large walk in shower with rain-head attachment, wall hung vanity washbasin and wall hung WC, heated towel rail.

Haggs cottage is lovely and homely and in a fantastic location just a little way up from the seafront. Sandsend is absolutely gorgeous and I love the proximity to Whitby. Dogs are not allowed on this part of the beach now from May to September. The beds at the cottage are very comfortable.

We love the house, fantastic location. Ted the dog loves going to the beach everyday, just walk down the hill and you're there in a couple minutes. We were so lucky as the weather was absolutely beautiful and it made it just that better. Filey beach was beautiful. The Mulgrave walk was also lovely on the Sunday morning. What a wonderful house in a wonderful place. It is perfectly situated in Sandsend, auspiciously for the area, adorned with a great drive for private parking, and a lovely homely feel. It has recently been renovated with new bathrooms and a new kitchen and perfect for a family and for us, most crucially, for dogs. A great patio out to the rear encloRead moresed garden is perfect for pooches. Ours loved it so much and it was a joy to see them have such a great holiday after one of them had a serious operation that means anywhere we go we need easy access out to the garden, and the owners have had a wonderful floor put down that is super practical, easy to clean and not slippy (brill for older dogs, older visitors and little ones!) We had a wonderful stay at The Haggs. A well presented, well equipped house within walking distance of the beach (and a wagon we could use too!). We have had a wonderful few days staying here, the house was perfect. Everything has been thought of, any kitchen utensils needed was there. Little box to start your stay off plus some goodies which were all appreciated. The house was beautiful. It was also clean and the bathrooms were amazing. The dog loved being so close to the beach.

Large property ideal for sharing with family. Kitchen/diner was fully equipped with everything that you need to prepare and cook a meal or just sitting and having a drink or snack.
