The Cottage was built in 1459 and is the oldest building in Hopton. Enjoying this perfect gem of a property, you can expect stunning original features such as beams and original exposed stonework, blended with modern luxurious. Every room has been put together with a great deal of love and care. Henmore Grange Cottage has been finished to a very high standard and a lot of consideration has been put into making it a very enjoyable and comfortable stay for those visiting this lovely part of Derbyshire.
There is a entrance room where you can comfortably store any coats and shoes, and then a doorway right leading into the sitting room.
The cosy sitting room and relax by the wood burning stove. Plenty of comfortable soft seating is available, games, a large TV and lots of information about the local area. There are good reading lights, as well as lovely ambient lighting to set the scene for relaxing evenings. The cottage also features central heating for year round comfort.
Enjoy meals in the large country style kitchen diner with a large dining table, where you will find great facilities, and plenty of room to gather and enjoy meals together, or assist the assigned holiday chef! Located on the edge of the Peak district, in Hopton village, directly between the beautiful towns of Matlock and Ashbourne, The cottage is approximately 30 minutes drive from the wonderful Chatsworth House and within easy reach of Alton Towers theme park. There are numerous tourist attractions nearby including The Heights of Abraham, The Tramway Museum or take a beautiful stroll or cycle along the High Peak Trail. Carsington water is on your doorstep, and the cottage itself is set in a peaceful village.
