For a wonderful day out, take a trip to Blaenau Ffestiniog and discover the numerous local activities such as Ffestiniog Railway, cycling at Antur Stiniog (12 mi) and adventure at Zip World Slate Caverns (15 mi). Slightly further afield is Cadair Idris, the highest and one of the most popular peaks to ascend in Southern Snowdonia. For a spot of lunch after your climb, head to Dolgellau, a town steeped in history and bursting with independent shops and eateries to enjoy.
