The cottage is in a lovely location and very peaceful down a narrow bumpy road. There is privacy with no other building in front of you but you access the property through the owners' property and farm. It is also worth considering that you are at least 15 to twenty minutes away from the main shops in Skibbereen as Balleydehob shops are somewhat Read morelimited. Recycling has to also to be taken to a site one mile outside Balleydehob and surprisingly costs several Euros entry and extra for whatever you have. The booking process with Shamrock cottages was very good indeed and they were very helpful with our ferry booking and so on. Hide

The cottage is beautifully situated and has a stunning view. It has one double bedroom and one with 2 single beds. Both have an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. The cottage is very well equipped and the owners are very attentive. The situation is ideal for exploring the beautiful West Cork area.

A very nice property, well situated, with extraordinary views. Ideal location to see Cork and Kerry. Owners very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Ensure you make a note of its postcode, otherwise very difficult to find for first time, especially late at night.

What a wonderful place! We saw seals on the rocks in front of the house! It's a very quiet and peaceful home for holidays! It's very clean and there are lovely items like candles and flowers that gave us a welcome-feeling! The hosts Bernie and Michael are very friendly and lovely people! We will come back again!!!

Great hosts. We enjoyed talking with them and getting tips on where to shop and eat. The cottage is really nice, the beds comfortable and it was great to wake up in the morning to a beautiful view of the lake. You can even take an excellent walkabout from the cottage. Skibbereen has good restaurants and shopping but we didn't enjoy it due to theRead more narrow streets and construction downtown. Ballydehob is small and doesn't have much to offer. Our favourite was Schull, it has a car park on entrance to town, several good restaurants, shopping and a grocery store. One of our favourite things was charting a fishing boat at Bantry and deep sea fishing. We caught so many fish we left over half with the boat captain. A visit to Blarney Castle and Garden is well worth the trip to Cork. Warning you have to be in good health to climb the narrow spiral steps to kiss the Blarney Stone and the Garden is spectacular. My wife was behind me and had to push me up the narrow steps, she counted 109 steps. If you have claustrophobia don't do it. A great time was had and we are looking forward to our next visit with the hosts. Hide
