This delightful, detached bungalow in a unique setting beside the sea, near the natural harbour of Ardgroom, is perfect for families and friends looking for a peaceful coastal getaway. Cork is full of coastal and mountain scenery and attractions, with this property overlooking the jagged Tooth Mountain. The village of Ardgroom (1.5 miles) offers a pub, shop, and restaurant, and is famous for the nearby Ardgroom Stone Circle on the Wild Atlantic Way. Explore the rugged coastline, with the nearest beach at Pullen Bay (1 mile), and enjoy the glorious sandy beach at Ballydonegan Allihies (16 miles) which offers opportunities for walking, fishing, and sandcastle competitions. If you want to get out on the water, the West Cork Sailing Centre is 20 miles away, or for something a little different, head south and take the ferry to explore Bere Island (16 miles), where you can immerse yourself in the nature, heritage, and culture.

Charming furnishings and decor complement the wooden floors and exposed wood of this inviting home, setting the scene for relaxation. Starting in the open-plan kitchen/diner/lounge, guests have plenty of space to unwind and socialise. Enjoy the marvellous views of the water through this room’s sliding doors, while the chosen chef whips up a memorable meal in the well-appointed kitchen, before the group gathers at the nearby dining table to enjoy. For further relaxation after food, head through to the welcoming lounge, where guests can kick back on the comfortable seating, with the TV playing and the wood burner warming your toes. When day turns to night, head to the four scenic bedrooms that await; three double rooms, one with an en-suite shower room, and a twin room with an en-suite shower room.

Outside, the tranquil decking area lures you with its scenic views, outdoor table and chairs, and BBQ - the perfect spot for a morning cuppa or al fresco evening meal. Beyond the decking, bask in the sun in the lawned garden that slopes down to the water’s edge.

We had the most amazing week at Reenavaude. The house is so peaceful and tranquil. It has a spectacular setting on the edge of Ardgroom Bay with a view of the mountains. The view can be seen from the moment you arrive and we spent a long time each day watching the changing light on the sea and mountainside. The house itself was spacious, airyRead more and comfortable with many places to sit and relax both indoors and out. In addition, Maureen looked after us very well without being intrusive. The area is a great location for watching wildlife and for exploring the Ring of Beara, and maybe even the Ring of Kerry. We found no shortage of things to do and would really love to return one day. We had a lovely week, location is great, right on the water. Outside deck for coffee, drinks and bbq helped by amazing weather. Very comfortable and easy to access the peninsula. Cycling was enjoyed around the peninsula as was a swim at the bottom of the garden. It is a good 30 min walk to local pub in Ardgroom which had good Guinness and a roariRead moreng fire. Lovely walks from the house too. Kitchen well equipped, would definitely recommend. Hide

We know now about this rental and overall there isn't much to say. We like simple and functional things. We cooked a lot and had no difficulty with the equipment.

The views from the property across Ardgroom Bay to the Caha Mountains are stunning! The property is spacious with all the mod cons but it also has a lot of character which makes it a welcoming and comfortable space which you can settle into very quickly. The garden is large and perfect for active kids. Our boys loved venturing with us to the small Read moreinlet at the bottom of the garden to look for crabs and shrimp. There's so much to see in the local area and the property is very conveniently located to visit many locations without a long drive. We would love to return at some point. Hide
