Lose yourself in magnificent panoramic views of Bantry Bay from almost every window of this lovingly furnished retreat welcoming six guests, perfect for families and groups of friends wanting to explore the Beara Peninsula. Located along the Wild Atlantic Way, the picturesque harbourside town of Bantry (2.5 miles) is a haven for outdoor activities; those who love life on the water can take a boat tour around the bay, try a sailing course or hire a kayak. Back on dry land, keen walkers can enjoy a plethora of heritage walking trails taking in the picturesque coast, woodland and mountain landscape, with trails leading to Bantry House and the Kilnaruane Pillar stone. Pack a picnic and head to Bantry Beach, 3 miles away, to enjoy views out over the harbour and Bantry Bay beyond or venture along the coast to Ballyrisode Beach, 20 miles away, for a traditional sandy day at the seaside.

An entrance porchway welcomes you into the cottage and leads into the homely lounge that features plenty of comfortable seating, a TV and a roaring wood burner. Further through the cottage, you’ll find the spacious country cottage-style kitchen/diner that boasts everything you need to cater if you decide to eat in, plus a generous farmhouse-style dining table to gather around and make special memories with loved ones. You’ll find more seating and far-reaching views in the adjoining sunroom, the perfect place to catch up with a good book. There are three bedrooms – two en-suite doubles and one twin – all complimented by wonderful countryside views and a soothing neutral colour palette. A handy utility room and contemporary family bathroom complete this cosy home-from-home.

Soak up your fresh countryside surroundings by dining alfresco on the picnic bench on the lawn or by simply enjoying a glass of something chilled from the comfort of the charming bench nestled beside the front door.
