Located within an idyllic rural estate on the banks of the River Clashawley, this characterful cottage welcoming up to six guests is the perfect peaceful spot for families and groups of friends to uncover County Tipperary’s sublime countryside. The small historic town of Fethard (1.5 miles), located within Ireland’s ‘Ancient East’, is a culture enthusiast’s dream, boasting several medieval ruins, a 14th-century town wall, heritage walking trail and Horse Country Experience Museum showcasing the area’s rich links with horse racing. Spend hours perusing the quaint shops and pubs in the town centre, tee off at the local 18-hole golf course (2 miles) or conquer the magnificent Slievenamon mountain, 2 miles away, for the best uninterrupted views across the county. Closer to home, the surrounding estate offers plenty to keep you entertained, from horse-riding opportunities to kayaking down the River Clashawley.

Characterful exposed ceiling beams, a soothing neutral colour palette and extra special homely touches throughout the cottage create a cosy, warming ambience that invites you to unwind after a long day’s adventure. The comfortable sofa and Smart TV in the beautifully styled lounge are complimented by a roaring wood burner whilst the well-equipped, spacious kitchen/diner benefits from plenty of natural sunlight and a charming farmhouse-style decor. The rest of the ground floor comprises a utility room which incorporates a private cubicle with WC. Upstairs, you’ll find two light and bright bedrooms, one king-size (which can be made up as a twin) and one double bedroom; an extra two guests can be accommodated on the double sofa bed in the lounge and a single camp bed is available on request. A contemporary family bathroom completes this quaint country cottage.

Make the most of the fresh, countryside air by enjoying a glass of something chilled, shaded by the mature planting in the generous walled garden as children and four-legged friends let off some steam playing on the lawn.
