Surrounded by the utterly idyllic countryside of County Tipperary, close to the banks of the River Clashawley, this stunning cottage hosts families or friends within the grounds of a 19th-century manor house. The estate is just 1.5 miles from the town of Fethard, one of Ireland's best-preserved medieval towns, with ancient walls, a beautiful park and the Fethard Horse Country Experience, where interactive exhibits celebrate the town's equestrian heritage. Spend hours exploring the town centre, dipping into locally owned shops and enjoying good craic in the country pubs. Nearby, visit the equally appealing town of Cahir (15 miles), home to Cahir Castle, one of the country's most spectacular castles, offering guided tours and walks through its beautiful grounds. Surrounding the town, explore woodland walks in the vicinity of the Swiss Cottage (16.5 miles). Staying closer to home, make use of the property's stables (available to rent by prior arrangement) and bring your horse along to explore the surrounding landscapes of Ireland's ‘Ancient East’.

Combining original character with modern creature comforts, this delightful cottage features exposed ceiling beams, a characterful Range oven and charming country-inspired styling, alongside everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious and filled with natural light, arranged across two floors. On arrival, stop off in the handy utility room, where laundry facilities, a ground-floor WC and extra storage for outdoor gear add convenience. From here, move into the spacious kitchen/diner, a farmhouse-style space with plenty of room to cook, dine and chat over delicious meals. After dinner, retire to the lounge, where ample comfortable seating includes a sofa bed that can accommodate one additional guest by prior arrangement. There's also a Smart TV and a multi-fuel wood burner, creating a cosy atmosphere for evenings in. As day turns to night, head upstairs to discover two inviting bedrooms. The king-size and double bedrooms are both spacious and enjoy wonderful countryside views, a pleasure to wake up to each morning. Completing the first floor is a contemporary family bathroom.

Enjoy the restorative benefits of Ireland's fresh country air with time spent in the delightful walled garden. This enclosed outdoor space offers a lawn for children and pets to play on, along with a furnished patio inviting you to sit back and enjoy a drink. This rustic cottage offers plenty of space and really has everything you need. Everything is clean and tidy. The house has a beautiful, large, fully enclosed garden, great for families with young children and/or dogs. It is one of several houses on Grove Estate. Every day you come across horses, cows, wild rabbits and, above all, lots of particulaRead morerly friendly people. One of them is the owner. He was always available for us and offered us an outstanding service. Beautiful Fethard is just around the corner and you can be in Clonmel in 20 minutes by car. We will definitely be back if the opportunity arises. Hide
