This white-painted property overlooks the Rosses, a spectacular area of lakes, islands and mountains in West Donegal. Sleeping six guests, the cottage is perfectly placed for exploring this magnificent landscape. Lively Dungloe, 4 miles away, offers shops, traditional pubs and restaurants serving delicious seafood, fresh from the Atlantic. The cottage is within 1 mile of a sandy beach, with more unspoiled golden strands along the coast. Beautiful Maghery Beach (6 miles) is a favourite spot for water sports. Catch the ferry from Burtonpoint (11 miles) for the short crossing to Arranmore. You can hire a bike to explore this tranquil island and its remarkable Megalithic monuments. From Burtonpoint, you can also hop on a sea safari trip around the offshore islands, looking out for friendly dolphins and other wildlife.

Spacious, bright, and tastefully furnished, the cottage’s open-plan layout provides a glorious outlook from every window. Comfortable seating and a solid-fuel stove create a cosy sitting space, while the country kitchen and dining area have ample space for creative cooks and companionable dining. There are two, delightful ground-floor double bedrooms, both with pretty traditional brass beds, as well as a bathroom with bath, shower and WC. Nice and very confortable cottage in a very quiet place, with nice view. Many lovely beaches in the surrondings, great walks in the nearby National park. Many shops in Dungloe for food and pubs. We totally recommend.
