Property code: OC-MIZZEN

Mizzen Cottage occupies an elevated position in East Looe with panoramic views of the town, its bustling harbour, bridge crossing and river. Only two minutes from both the beach and the centre of the town, Mizzen Cottage is set into the hillside, in a tranquil and relaxing location alongside the original historic road into Looe. This detached house is the perfect space for the whole family to enjoy. Spend some quality time together in the open plan kitchen/diner and adjoining living room all while enjoying the commanding views of Looe harbour and river from Mizzen Cottage. Dine al fresco on the balcony, while unwinding after a busy day exploring, and cook up some locally caught seafood on the barbeque.

Looe as a destination provides so much to do and see. Enjoy boat trips exploring the local coastline and over to Looe Island which is abundant in wildlife and plenty to explore. The beach is only a short walk from the property, perfect for lazing around on and soaking up the summer sun or why not take a dip or paddleboard on Looe's still blue water. When venturing over to West Looe make sure to visit The Sardine Factory which has a heritage centre along with a climbing wall for all ages to enjoy. Upstairs there is a highly recommended restaurant serving delicious local produce.

Mizzen is a lovely quirky house with exceptional views of Looe from every room. Kitchen is one of the best equipped kitchens we have seen. Lounge has a lovely cosy den feel to it. Nice to have its own drive. The road is tight but doable ( we got in ok with an Audi Q3 2013) Bedrooms simple but everything you need in a bedroom. Loved the room downsRead moretairs for quiet reading. Would have loved to make use of the the balcony with the very nice furniture and pretty lights but it was slightly cold and windy. A very happy feel to Mizzen. Steep hill but doable and not too far up. Lovely to have nothing in front of you but the view. Hide

Fantastic house was brilliant with views over Looe close to beach and amenities- road is no problem if you only go from the top - we have a large volvo. Loved the decor, clean and well equipped in kitchen - loved the balcony for eating out on - perfect would stay here again if visiting Looe in the future.

Location and the view from the property is great. The property has everything you need. The road to the property is very steep, narrow and tight in places. A very large vehicle will struggle in places.
