Property code: OC-WAD350

Get the best of both worlds staying at this charming stone cottage set in the quiet rural village of Cemmaes, with Snowdonia National Park, Machynlleth town and Aberdyfi beach all a short drive away. The cottage has been beautifully styled to compliment the traditional, rustic features that run throughout, whilst also providing comfortable and contemporary accommodation for friends and family. Share family meals around the table in the country-style dining room before retreating to one of 2 cosy living areas for a movie or games night. Each of the 3 bedrooms boasts its own unique and tasteful style and there's the additional convenience of a small child's room complete with toddler bed and dressing table. Make the most of those rare warm evenings by enjoying a spot of al-fresco dining in the private enclosed garden with the rolling hills behind you and the tranquil stream meandering by.

Located in in the heart of the village, Glancoegen is just a short stroll from the shop and cafe at Ty Cemaes and across the road is Penrhos Arms, a lovely 15th century pub serving hearty meals using local and seasonal produce. The location is perfect for exploring Cardigan Bay and enjoying days at the seaside, with the sandy bays of Aberdyfi and Ynyslas around a 30 minute drive away. For walking and cycling enthusiasts, Snowdonia National Park can be reached in just 5-10 minutes by car and there are a number of mountain biking trails to discover nearby including Dyfi Forest, Coed y Brenin and Nant yr Arian. The nearest town, Machynlleth - known as "The Ancient Capital of Wales" is home to a number of cafes and pubs as well as independent shops and galleries. For some wonderful days out, head to Corris Steam Railway and Museum (11mi), explore King Arthur's Labyrinth (11mi) or take an excursion down Corris Mine (11mi).

The cottage is attractive and comfortable; the village has a lovely shop and cafe and the pub is welcoming. It's a drawback that the house is situated on the main road which is very busy in the summer but the scenery is lovely, there are lots of walks in the area and it is possible to swim in the river Dyfi nearby.
