April Cottage is a delightful bolthole located at Furzeham in Brixham with fantastic sea views. The property is in a great elevated position overlooking Furzeham Green and views of the famous multi-coloured houses, the sea and also a 15 minute walk into the main town. Brixham is still a working Fisherman's Town with some of the best places to eat and enjoy the locally caught fish of the day. 

April Cottage sleeps five people in three bedrooms. The ground floor offers an open plan living room and dining area towards the front of the property and this leads to the spacious kitchen to the rear of the house. You can access to the rear garden via the kitchen, a lovely space to enjoy some evening quiet time and a glass of wine. On the first floor is the family bathroom, the master bedroom, second and third bedroom. 

GROUND FLOOR

Open plan kitchen/living area: Lounge area with two two-seater sofas, Smart TV and coffee table. The dining area has a large wooden table with bench. 

Kitchen: Fully equipped with oven & hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.

 

FIRST FLOOR

Family Bathroom Large bath, shower over, W.C. , hand basin and towel rail.  

Up one more step to;

Master Bedroom:  King size bed, bedside cabinets with lamp and ample storage.

Bedroom 2: Twin bedroom, bedside cabinet with lamp and chest of drawers. 

Bedroom 3: Single bed and bedside cabinet with lamp. 

Cloakroom: with W.C. and handbasin. 

Parking & Outside: On street parking. Enclosed patio area with outdoor seating and charcoal barbeque (guests to bring their own charcoal). 

Power and Heat Gas and Electricity included in rent. 

Bedding and Linen Bed linen and towels are provided for your stay (Please bring your own beach towels).

We had a fantastic stay at April Cottage. 3 generations were made really comfortable.and we had plenty of space. Very well equipped and grateful for the basics (and wine) that have been left. We've stayed a few times in Brixham and I think we are agreed this was the best we have stayed in. Great location and great cottage. Thanks!

April Cottage is in a great location with easy access to the harbour and shops. The Queens Arms and The Manor pubs are a quick walk. It's great to be able to quickly access The Batteries and Coast Path or take a bus to Kingswear and Dartmouth. Basically lots of options easily accessible. Great walks to Berry Head and on to Man Sands too.

April Cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped for a great holiday. The green outside is perfect if you have a dog. The view is stunning and it is a great base for exploring Brixham and South Devon.

This was a really lovely cottage and very spacious - perfect for our family of four. Beautiful views and the extra provisions such as the Nespresso machine and Bose speaker were appreciated. Kitchen equipment all in good working order and high quality. Bedrooms very spacious and comfortable beds. Easy access to town down either a few flights of staRead moreirs to the harbour or down a very steep road without steps - doesn't take long though. The park out the front is a great asset as is the playground around the corner. Car parking is tight - although we always found a space on the same road you get very good at tight parallel parking and the road is a busy as drivers use it is a cut-through. But this is the same pretty much anywhere along the coast! Hide

A lovely stay at this house, spacious and comfortable with the majority of home comforts provided to make the stay an enjoyable one. The shower is powerful albeit a bit low for anyone tall, but better than most holiday lets. Parking near the house was an issue for all but one of the days we stayed, mainly due to inconsiderate parking by others. Lovely views of the harbour, not far from town. The sunrise was spectacular each morning from the bedrooms.

April Cottage is a lovely place to stay in a fantastic location. Waking up to the spectacular view of Brixham Harbour was the perfect start to each day, and the short walk into town and easy access to the South West Coast Path meant we never had to use the car. Parking can be a bit hard to find, but there are lots of lanes around and it should be eRead moreasy enough to always get a space within about a 5 minute walk from the cottage. The property was very comfortable and very well equipped, and we all slept well - probably a combination of the cosy beds and the fresh air and beautiful walks in the area. This is the second year we have spent time at April Cottage. We love the location, the space and the comfort of the cottage. The fact that it is dog friendly (with a great green right on the doorstep, perfect for early morning and late night walks) and with wonderful sea views are just the icing on the cake. We have stayed in a number of cottages in Brixham this year and April cottage is the best, this was our second stay, we love the location only a short walk to the harbour and one of our fav pubs the Manor, fabulous views, and a lovely park which was perfect for our dog. We managed to get a parking space right outside the cottage which was perfect.Read more The cottage itself is super clean and really comfortable a real home from home. The kitchen has everything needed for a great stay and more - love the coffee machine and other extras! Highly recommend Blue Anchor for Sunday lunch. April Cottage was very well appointed and conveniently located within 10 minutes walk of the Harbour and shops. Also benefits from a delightful view across a recreation ground, suitable for exercising a dog and the marina below. We would have no hesitation in returning at some point.

We had an amazing stay here as a family of four with our 10 year old and toddler. The house is beautiful, in a wonderful location, with amazing views. It was really clean when we arrived, very comfortable and spacious and had most of the things we needed. Kitchen was very well stocked and even had plastic childrens cups, plates and bowls which was Read morereally useful. We bought our own bed guards to fit on the single bed for our toddler, but hadnt thought of the stairs. Whilst beautiful, the stairs are a bit difficult with a wilfull toddler, so if you are in the same boat as us, you may want to bring your own travel stair gate.
