There's an abundance of local attractions, to suit all visitors, including the Llanberis-Snowdon Railway, GreenWood Park and various Zip World adventures (think zip-lining over abandoned quarries, bouncing through a disused mine and discovering new heights along a tree-top course).

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the cottage, a good location only a few minutes from the main road yet nice and quite, miles of walks right on the doorstep is also very convenient. The cottage is spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipment. The decor in the bathroom and kitchen is looking a bit tired and could do with decorating.

This place is in a brilliant location. Gorgeous views, easy to access Bangor, the beach, anglesey and not too far to snowdonia either. Plenty of choices for food. It is really well equipped if you want to eat in. Fenced off garden area although some of the fences/ gates are broken so couldnt let the dog/ small children out without close attention. Read more Downsides are its really not very comfortable, feels cold and needs some TLC and a bit of effort to make it a homely place to be. Lots of bare walls, not many soft furnishings and with all the sofas being leather and the walls off white its a bit bleak. Lots of areas where paint is falling off, bits that clearly hadnt been cleaned for a long time, smelt funny, hair on the beds etc. So overall its perfect for a base but we didnt want to spend much time there. Its a bit tricky to find until you realise you need to go through the field to get to it. We didnt meet the hosts. Hide

Great cottage in a very scenic location. Very difficult to get up to in wet muddy weather without a 4 x 4. No enclosed garden for the dogs

Fantastic remote bungalow, yet close to all amenities. We walked our dogs across the big entrance field daily and only met another person once. Will definitely be back. Everything needed was provided. There was occassionally sheep in the small adjoining field, but they moved on when they saw our dogs, who really weren't interested in them. We had a lovely week in the cottage and found everything to be immaculately clean and tidy. It was easy to see that a lot of thought had gone into making it feel like a proper home from home. The kitchen was large and very well equipped. We enjoyed the welcome pack, I am now addicted to Welsh cakes which are delicious. The views and sunsets from thRead moree cottage were beautiful. As well as being such a peaceful location it was also a great base for exploring further afield. Our two dogs (small spaniels) settled in easily and the garden was secure for them. Cae'r Ffynnon is one of the nicest holiday cottages we have stayed in and we hope to be able to visit again in the future. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. Hide

The cottage was brilliant. Its located in the country and your only neighbours are sheep and cows. Very comfy and well equipped. We only stayed 3 nights but wish we could have stayed longer. Well be back.

We came to the cottage to chill my daughter and I. Her Graduation from Bangor Uni occuring at the end of the week it seemed a great place to base ourselves and our rather reactive rescue dog Shadow. This cottage is in an extraordinairily beautiful spot, cannot stress that enough. Surrounded by wildlife we felt privileged to see a great spotted woRead moreodpecker, housemartins nesting in the eaves, goldfinches, stonechats, wrens, swallows, songthrushes, meadow pippits, hares and more. We watched flocks of sheep being driven to be shorn and brought back up past the cottage several times witnessing the dogs working with the drivers. We walked up the track on a circular 5.5 km walk ending up on part of the North Wales Pigrims way, without having to drive anywhere. Perfect! Hide

This cottage is very remote and accessed through two farm gates via a field of sheep! The views are utterly stunning. And its very peaceful!! Enclosed garden, great for the dogs. Small stream at the end of the garden. Plenty of parking. As a couple we literally used only half the property, we slept in the central bunk bed room as it was a cosier space. Hardly used the lounge as kitchen/diner so big. A very nice place for a holiday in beautiful Wales. Especially the kitchen, with large windows, where you can enjoy the sun by day and sunsets at evening. The views are stunnishing. The grounds are fenced so dogs stay safe. It is a truly silent place and both Anglesey and the Mountains are nearby.
