Swallow Barton is set in the quiet, rural village of Yarnscombe surrounded by the glorious Devon countryside. With a large, well equipped, farmhouse style kitchen and spacious living areas, this cosy property is perfect for guests looking for a relaxing, peaceful, rural escape. Swallow Barton also has a woodburner for those colder evenings.

Explore the beautiful surrounding countryside with plenty of walking routes from the cottage, or if a trip to the seaside tempts you the expansive sandy beach of Westward Ho! is just 12 miles away. With plenty to do and see around the area, it really is a great location for guests to explore both the coast and countryside of North Devon.

A short drive away you will find a range of small independent shops in the nearest town Torrington, including a chemist, post office and supermarkets. Also nearby are the country pubs The Chichester Arms at Bishop’s Tawton and The Hunter’s Inn at Newton Tracey, both providing great food using local produce. Just a five minute walk from the property you will also find the local Village Hall which has a friendly bar which opens on Monday and Saturday evenings.

Homely, warm, spacious comfortable cottage (especially the beds). Helpful, welcoming owners who left lovely bread and home made eggs. The chickens were welcoming too! Lovely village close to attractions.
