Situated just off the High Street yet literally across the road from the beach from the beach in the bustling town of Southwold sits this superb property sleeping 4.  Barley Rise has recently been refurbished to an extremely high standard and is so luxurious you wont ever want to leave.

The décor throughout is stylish and contemporary yet oozes warmth.  Every little thing has been thought of by the owners to make their guests feel totally at home and relaxed.

Set across two floors, there is a large open plan kitchen, dining and living room (and electric log burner) making this the perfect place to unwind. Whether you're sitting relaxing with a glass of wine, chilling with a movie, or merely gazing out at the splendid sea view, you really will feel like the king of the castle in this gorgeous first floor space. 

The stylish kitchen is modern and airy. It is well equipped for your every need including a Nespresso coffee machine and there is plenty of storage for your own groceries.  The property is within walking distance of not only two small supermarkets, but other shops too including the Magpies Bakery and a greengrocer.  With an abundance of restaurants and pubs not to mention Sole Bay fish and chips there is plenty to choose from if you fancy a ‘night off’ cooking!

The bedrooms too you will find equally alluring.  Both beautifully presented, with hypo allergenic bedding, the first-floor bedroom is situated across the hall from a large family bath/ shower room with the ground floor Super King or twin (zip and link) off the snug and shower/wet room.  The snug provides a great area for kids to enjoy with a very comfortable sofa and large Smart TV.

Enjoy early morning coffee and croissants on the quaint patio outside or catching the last of the evening sun with a gin and tonic.

Of course, one of the biggest appeals to staying at Barley Rise is it's close proximity to the beach. Imagine long summer days out on the sandy shores, or bracing walks towards Walberswick in the winter months….

GROUND FLOOR

Bedroom 2: Super king size bed (can be made up as twin single beds, please let us know if twin beds are required at time of booking)  bedside tables with lamps, built in wardrobe and chest of drawers, arm chair.

Wet Room: Shower, WC and washbasin.

Snug: Large sofa, Television

Outside: Enclosed courtyard garden with outside seating for 4.
Parking: No parking directly outside property however you may drop off luggage outside and find parking space on street outside. The ideal spot to unload / load the car is opposite Barley Rise, on Trinity Street.  There are three spaces where you can park for up to 2 hours, between 8am – 6pm.  

Pets: 2 well behaved dogs welcome.
Heating: Gas central heating.

We stayed at Barley Rise many times when it was a one-bedroomed apartment and the previous owners lived downstairs. This was our first visit since it has been adapted to two bedrooms and we were not disappointed. The apartment is very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and the standard of fixtures and fittings is the same high quality. Its location is Read moreperfect, across the road from the beach and within five minutes walk to the High Street with its superb selection of independent shops and places to eat. Barley Rise is the gift that keeps on giving! The layout of the property is ideal with different levels and snugs to give the family space. It is beautifully decorated with all equipment you could need and the location is just perfect, with sea views and amenities on your doorstep.

Barley rise is in a brilliant location with easy access to all Southwold has to offer . Great view of the sea from the lounge . Beautifully designed property . Kitchen really well equipped. Layout worked perfectly for us. Beds are super comfy . The Christmas tree was a lovely touch and it was so cosy in there . We would love to stay again

Back again! Apartment as lovely as ever, great having "upstairs and downstairs" Sunny with showers, but still lovely. Magpie pizzas delicious. Solebay for food and drink. Shame the Picture Palace was closed this visit.

Amazing place to stay, modern, great location, and has everything you could need. Had a brilliant week, incredible weather, very hot! Lovely sea view and very close to all the best spots in the town centre. H & J coffees and ice cream amazing as always. Thank you and hopefully, we will be back sometime soon.
