Stanton Lodge Cottage is a lovely single-storey stone cottage, situated adjacent to but detached from the owners’ property, with its own patio area to the side with view over the fields and hills to the rear. The cottage is located between the lovely Peak District villages of Baslow and Calver, where the sparkling River Derwent glides along the valley and there are wonderful views and walks just outside the door.

Wander into Baslow for a look around the designer shops, a refreshing drink or meal in one of the pubs or superb restaurants, 0.5 to 1 mile away. The various facilities and attractions of Calver, including the brilliant Calver Craft Centre, are 0.75 to 1.25 miles in the opposite direction. The fascinating historic 'plague village' of Eyam is just 3 miles away.

Attractions and activities abound in the surrounding Peak District National Park. Revel in the majesty of nearby Chatsworth House (3.5 miles) and its wonderful Farm Shop just 2.5 miles away. Marvel at the wondrous views from Calver Edge, take a walk around bustling and pretty Bakewell, where you can indulge in a Bakewell pudding, enjoy the shops and have a meal in one of the many cafes or restaurants. Visit some of the cosmopolitan cafes, bars and restaurants in Matlock or enjoy the “seaside without the sea” sensation in Matlock Bath, with its arcades, cafes and many chip shops.

A very nice cottage with lovely owners. We had one problem with a light that was rectified whilst we were out. We were impressed with the standard considering the amount we paid.

Well placed for many of Derbyshire's attractions, some traffic noise and a little difficulty accessing the main road as a builders skip obscured the view. The cottage was spacious and well equipped with its own outside space. We had everything we needed

A lovely cottage ideally placed for the exploration of the Peak District. Shops are fairly near and easily accessible. The owners were very good and could not do enough for us if we needed anything, a wonderful experience for all 4 of us

Very nice cottage, well equipped, with excellent situation near Curbar Edge. Near main road but not on it, so very quiet. Beds comfortable. Hot/cold water a bit complicated until you get used to it! Monsal trail, lovely villages, Chatsworth gardens, Eyam all recommended Walks galore. Welldressing. ALL
