Lyncroft was an ideal holiday home for us for 5 days. We had a group of 5 adults and a dog and found that there was plentiful space, kitchen equipment, bathrooms etc to suit our needs. We came across no major issues during our stay and were able to find all necessary information in the folder provided. We arranged a Tesco delivery as there is no suRead morepermarket nearby. The setting is quiet and rural, and we went on several walks directly from the house. Hide

The cottage was fantastic for our mixed family group of 6 and a dog. Two fires were great, 2 sitting rooms even better. Kitchen was very well equipped with 2 fridges and a freezer and dishwasher. Great for preparing and eating big meals! We had brilliant walks direct from the cottage. One walk over the river via stepping stones to Aysgarth and theRead more Falls Hotel was fantastic. Great food and service at the hotel. All in all a very positive holiday for our family. Hide

Lovely stay at Lyncroft. There were just the two of us (plus dog) so we spent much of our time in the cosy snug. We particularly liked the serving hatch between the snug and the kitchen which gave the rooms an open-plan feel. Loads of space for larger groups, with 3 good-sized bedrooms.

Lyncroft is in a lovely area. The cottage was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for 6 adults. It wasn't clear how to programme the central heating so needed to remember to turn it down overnight. TVs difficult to use if you are not familiar with chrome cast.

We had a great stay in this well equipped and nicely decorated cottage. We loved the open fire in the living room and the cosy snug. The garden is properly enclosed which is great for dogs. Really well equipped kitchen, we could cook from scratch just as if we were at home.

The cottage is amazing with lots of character. Furnished really lovely and full of everything you could need. There are so many walks to go on. Bolton Castle and Aysgarth Falls are lovely as are the various villages around with great pubs who supply delicious dinners. There was a previous comment about a noisy water pump nearby which worried us butRead more it is a small pump in the front of the property which is quiet and did not bother us at all. You cant hear it unless yours sat next to it. We loved our stay so much we wanted to extend it. You certainly get the wow factor when you open the front door. We were quite amused and bemused by the 'Welcome Pack'. This consisted of a small cardboard box holding a J-cloth, plastic rubbish bag, small scourer, miniature container of washing up liquid, 3 dishwasher tablets and 3 plastic sachets of laundry soap {of which there were plenty already under the sink}. In all our previous holiday cottages the weRead morelcome packs were geared to the guests rather than cleaning up! There was a basket with tea, coffee and sugar sachets, and some small biscuits, plus 5 miniature bottles of milk in the fridge which was fine. In spite of the folder saying there would be, there was no initial supply of logs for the woodburner. Fortunately the extra boost function on the central heating made the cooler evenings more comfortable. On the website mention was made of the back garden backing on to surrounding fields - you could just about see one part of one field. Secondly, mention was also made of the chairs and table at the front of the property which would make a lovely place to sit - only if you were prepared to put up with the extremely noisy water treatment plant next to you which operated 24 hours a day. We're afraid that these two descriptions are reminiscent of estate agent speak when describing the property. Hide
