Walk into this beautiful cottage and relax in the lovely sitting room with wood burning stove and comfortable seating. Have your meals at the table in the window looking out over the sea or enjoy the wonderful sea air while table breakfast on the patio listening to the waves crashing ashore.

Ebor Cottage South is perfectly located right on the seafront of beautiful Sandsend, only a few miles from historic Whitby. You can see the Abbey from the front garden, as well as looking straight out onto the sea. The charming village of Sandsend is a popular tourist destination, renowned for its beautiful beaches and further along, the chance of finding fossils. The unparalleled beauty of the surrounding North York Moors is on the doorstep.

GROUND FLOOR
Entrance: Into living area.
Lounge/Dining Area: With spectacular views of the sea from the dining table, ideal for enjoying your breakfast while planning the day ahead. There is a comfy sofa and two armchairs, a coffee table and two side tables. The wood burning stove in the inglenook fireplace is perfect for sitting around and relaxing on cooler nights. There is a TV set on a stand.
Kitchen: With its quarry tiled floor, Belfast sink and granite work surfaces, there are many charming features of this room, along with the modern conveniences of a dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave. The electric oven has a ceramic hob and hood over and to add to the charm, there is a lovely dresser against one wall. Two steps up lead to the rear door out to the rear patio.
Outside: To the front, there is a patio area with chairs and table. The sloping lawn looks towards the sea. To the rear, up some steep steps, is a further private seating area with table and chairs.

FIRST FLOOR
Bedroom 1: Double bed with bedside cabinets and lamps, dressing table with triple mirror and stool beneath. Wake up to more fantastic sea views. The wardrobe for this room is in the hall with hanging space and drawers. 
Bedroom 2: Twin beds with chest of drawers between holding a lamp, wardrobe and double aspect windows.
Bathroom: This modern room boasts a fully tiled floor with a wash basin in a vanity unit and mirror over, WC, shower cubicle with thermostatic shower.

Pets: Sorry no pets allowed.
Parking: On street parking on a first come first serve basis. There is a pay and display car park further along the street.
Garden/Patio: Front and rear with seating areas
Heating: Gas central heating and a wood burning stove.
Short breaks: Not available at peak times.
Notes: Towels are provided. No smoking including e-cigarettes. Mobile phone signal is good.

The house is in a fabulous location with beautiful sea views and very close to the cafes, eateries and pub! We loved the fluffy white towels and most of what we needed kitchen wise was on hand. Sandsend is a lovely place to stay and we would definitely go back there. Take a sharp knife if that is important to you.

What a pretty cottage in a beautiful location. The views are amazing Well equipped and comfortable inside. There are a fair few steps at the front of the house for those who have mobility issues to be aware of. But we'll worth it at the top.

Lovely holiday cottage in a prime position on the sea front at Sandsend. Private garden at the front with spectacular sea views and a seating area to eat outside in warm weather. Also a private outdoor seating/eating area on a rear terrace for choice. The wifi was good.

We enjoyed our stay here, the perfect spot for watching the wildlife from the garden...make sure you bring binoculars! We saw gannets, dolphins and a basking shark. Good bus service into Whitby and villages to the north means you can leave the car behind if you wish. Property is warm and cosy.

This is a small but cosy cottage, which is well equipped, very warm and very clean. We had mixed weather but were able to relax and enjoy the dramatic seas; the views are wonderful. The cottage is within easy walking distance of the local pub and 3 good cafes, as well as the two gift shops. Just be aware that there are 19 steps up to the properRead morety from the road, some of which are quite deep. Hide

Excellent position facing beach with distant views of Whitby Abbey and day or evening eateries a short stroll away. Well fitted out cosy interior ideal for any season.
