Little Bourne is a stylish and modern countryside retreat, located in the grounds of the owners’ home and surrounded by woodlands. The property is all on one level with a spacious open plan living and kitchen area with French doors opening onto a screened private patio with lovely views across the garden.  The property would ideally suit couples or families as there are good road links to towns, the surrounding countryside and the coast. There are two double bedrooms each with their own en-suite w.c. and a shared Jack and Jill shower room. The kitchen is fully equipped and has an extending dining table and there is garden furniture, a barbecue and a fire pit, perfect for outside dining and for gathering round and watching the sun go down. The interiors are fresh and welcoming with good quality bed linens and lots of little luxury touches by the owner to make this a really memorable holiday home.  Shop: 1.4miles  Pub: 5 mins walk  Coast: 30 miles

Out and About:

The property is a short drive or walk to the market town of Tonbridge on the upper reaches of the River Medway, with the High Street offering a great selection of shops, restaurants, cafes, bars supermarkets. It has one of the oldest medieval castles, a great park with an indoor-outdoor swimming pool and canoe hire on the river. For more extensive shopping opportunities Royal Tunbridge Wells is a short drive away.  All Saints Tudeley Church with its glorious stained-glass windows designed by Marc Chagall is worth a visit as is Bewl Water for sailing and windsurfing. There is also 12 miles of walking and cycling trails to enjoy.  Bedgebury Forest is also great for walking and mountain biking and has a Go-Ape experience. The area is also known for its many National Trust Properties such as Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens and Scotney Castle or the historic estates of Penshurst and Chartwell. There are numerous award winning vineyards and wineries close by and for railway enthusiasts the Spa Valley Railway operates a regular service of their steam and heritage diesel trains.

Tonbridge is also ideally located for access to Central London with frequent trains taking only 35 minutes. The north Kent coast is easily accessible as is the coastline of East Sussex.

Little Bourne is a superb home from home, it is what it says on the tin Nothing was a trouble when asked at short notice for changes from the owners which helped us enormously in our preparations for a family wedding event at Hever Castle, which I may add is stunning and a must see for anyone staying here you wont be disappointed. We loved our stay at Little Bourne, the cottage is so homely and has everything you need. Karen and Simon are brilliant hosts, very welcoming and helpful. Beautiful property! Super comfy beds. 2 toilets& sink. Common shower. Fully equipped kitchen. A lot of seating place in the living place. Very quite but also very close to main road.
