Property code: OC-OLDSU

A divine stone hideaway, exquisitely created within the Sunday school of an attractive old church, this delightful retreat is well located for the countryside and the coast. Situated in Lanteglos Highway, 1 mile from Lanteglos and 3.5 miles from Polruan, the two-bedroom bolthole, which sleeps four guests, is also just 2.5 miles from fashionable Fowey via the Bodinnick Ferry. Head down to Polruan to see the castle and cross the estuary via the passenger ferry from there instead. While away days in Fowey, pottering in the boutiques and galleries, and dining in restaurants serving freshly landed seafood. Venture 3.5 miles down to the beautiful beaches at Lansallos or the National Trust’s Lantic Bay, where you can swim in the clear waters, picnic on the sand or join the South West Coast Path. Plan a trip to the Eden Project, 11.5 miles away, to explore the magnificent displays within the biomes.

Leave your car in the long layby opposite the building and cross the road to take four stone steps up to enter your inviting cottage. Slip off your shoes and leave your beach bags in the hall before ambling on through to the lovely open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Throw open the French windows to the courtyard here on summer afternoons so you can step outside to admire the view. Light a fire in the wood burner on crisp autumn and winter days instead, then snuggle up on the soft seating to soak up the heat. Find your current boxset on the Smart TV or have a lively discussion about the adventures of the day. When mealtimes arrive, find everything you need to help you cater for yourselves in the well-equipped, modern kitchen area. Rustle up delicious dishes to enjoy at the circular wooden table close by. After each meal, make fresh coffee in the machine to sip inside or out. Your beautiful bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, both with beamed and vaulted ceilings, are up on the first floor. Lose yourselves in the views through the arched window in the king-size bedroom when you awake. The family shower room, with its generous shower enclosure, is also at this level.

Have breakfast out in the courtyard garden to the front of the property on summer mornings. Take in the rural views over a sundowner at the end of each day away as well. Parking is on the public layby, subject to availability.

Beautiful property. Extremely comfortable, with the most stunning views. A little far away from everything, which i loved, but may not suit everyone.
