Swanning Off, is a spacious, modern apartment in a desirable position with fabulous views over the river Esk. This well-equipped apartment is light and airy with plenty of space to comfortably enjoy your seaside break. On the first floor, with lift access and its own parking space, Swanning Off is the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Whatever your interests, there is something for everyone; walks along the pier enjoying the renowned fish and chips, walk up the 199 steps to the famous Whitby Abbey, or travel a little further and experience the beauty of the North York Moors with its quaint villages offering the very best Yorkshire produce and of course restaurants and tea rooms too numerous to mention.

Communal Entrance: Take the stairs up to the second floor and follow to the right. There is also a lift giving access to the apartment level. 
Entrance Hallway: Door leads to a spacious hallway with a utility cupboard housing a washer dryer. There is also a hat stand perfect for hanging your coats.
Lounge Kitchen Diner: This room has a beautiful view through the juliet balcony over the estuary and marina, across to the railway track where you can see the steam trains running. Furnished with two 2-seater sofas, a large coffee table and various smaller side tables, a large Smart TV and DVD player on a stand.  The dining area boasts a smart round glass topped table with four matching comfortable chairs. The kitchen area has everything you could need to make a lovely meal to enjoy while watching the boats sail out to sea. There is an electric oven and ceramic hob with a hood over, an integrated fridge/freezer and microwave. Also, you will find a Nespresso coffee maker.
Bedroom One: A very spacious room with views over the estuary. Elegantly furnished with a king-sized bed with two bedside cabinets and lamps.  You will also find storage with a wardrobe, with a mirrored door. A large shelf with mirror over makes the perfect place to get ready for a night out in Whitby, or relax and watch the wall mounted Smart TV.  From the bed you can sit and look out at the tide flowing in and out.
Bedroom Two:  Another spacious room with twin three-foot (full size single) beds each with a bedside cabinet and lamp. You will find a chest of drawers with triple mirror and clothes hanging rack. Again, there is a Smart TV and DVD player if you tire of admiring the view.
Bathroom: A light, spacious room with shower cubicle, WC, and wash hand basin with mirror over and a small storage unit.

Pets: Sorry, no pets.
Parking: Secure undercroft allocated private parking for one car, there are extra unallocated spaces shared with the block.
Heating: Electric wall heaters.
Short breaks: Accepted.
Notes: Towels are provided. There is a lift in the building for those with mobility problems. Please note that no mobility scooters are allowed in the block.

The apartment was comfortable but needed few updates, heaters in bedrooms especially and we had hot water issue which wasn't resolved as couldn't get hold of owners. Nice to be able to park in secure underground parking and easy to walk to Whitby from where apartment was.

Ideal location, only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Whitby. Secure parking is a bonus. Would definitely go back again.

Lovely apartment just a 10 minute walk to the centre. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The welcome pack was much appreciated and great having the secure parking. Located in a peaceful area with just the birds and train for company. Would definitely stay again.

I think it would be helpful to state clearly that the property is on the Abbey side of the river Esk as access to Whitby town , if you have mobility problems, is very difficult. We could not fault the property for it's amenities and quality, it was an oasis to return to.

The property was in a good location overlooking the water and a 10 minute walk into Whitby old town, the property was well equipped and had quality bed and bedding, the welcome pack was much appreciated. My suggestion would be to supply a hairdryer as most places do otherwise all good.

Location and quality of the apartment were perfect for us. The secure parking was one of the main reasons for our choice. Cleaning could have been better as we swept up guide a bit of dust and fluff soon after we got in. Crockery could do with sorting as too many glasses and mugs.
