Alternatively, simply walk along the coastal paths and enjoy the stunning scenery. From the property, excellent routes include the 2-mile walk to Seahouses village with its shops and bustling harbour, or the 5-mile hike to Newton-by-the-Sea. For days out, children will love Alnwick Castle – the backdrop for some of the Harry Potter films – where you can discover the medieval alchemist, have a go at some archery or learn to fly a broomstick.
