Enjoying an enviable position with views over Whitaside, the River Swale and beyond, this delightful cottage has a wealth of charm and character and is surrounded by open countryside. Ideal for walkers and cyclists and centrally situated for touring throughout the Dales. The village of Low Row faces South so is sunny all day long. It a beautiful, peaceful village on the Coast To Coast Route and close to The Swale Trail.

This is an Ideal holiday destination for the walker with plenty of excellent walks from the cottage itself, it is also very centrally situated for adventuring throughout the Dales, with Leyburn and Hawes only a thirty-minute drive away. There is a secure stone outbuilding for cycle storage for those of you who prefer two wheels to two legs. This is a great cottage for family or groups of friends looking to holiday together in this popular area of the Yorkshire Dales.

This well-equipped cottage is light and airy with a delightful, beamed living room, having a wood burning stove to cosy up in front of on those chilly winter evenings after a day out sightseeing. The kitchen, dining area and sitting room are well provided with everything you need, including underfloor heating to keep you cosy and warm.

This lovely property is ideal for anyone who enjoys staying in the Yorkshire Dales, whatever your interests. There is something for everyone; historic castles, museums, farms, walking, cycling, superb local markets with great food and fine ales a few minutes’ walk away at the Punch Bowl Inn.

GROUND FLOOR:

Kitchen/Dining area: A lovely light room in which to sit and catch up or plan the next day’s itinerary around the dining table and wood burning stove. At the opposite end, you will find electric oven and hob, toaster, kettle, microwave, Tassimo coffee machine (pods not included)dishwasher, and fridge freezer.

Utility/Drying room: The ideal place to dry off your wet clothes and boots after a day’s walking, complete with washing machine, dryer, iron & ironing board, and drying rack.

Lounge: Cosy up on the sofa in front of the woodburning stove whilst watching your favourite programme on the smart TV.

FIRST FLOOR:

Bedroom 1: An oak framed king-size bed with matching bedside drawers, chest of drawers and built in wardrobe with views over the open countryside.

Ensuite: Shower cubicle, washbasin, WC heated towel rail.

Bedroom 2: A lovely light room with twin beds and fabulous views of Whitaside and the river valley, bedside drawers, chest of drawers and wardrobe to hang all your holiday attire.

Bedroom 3: A cosy room with metal framed double bed with bedside tables and wardrobe with drawers to store your clothes.

Bathroom: With shower over bath, washbasin, WC, shaver point, and heated towel rail.

Externally: Outside, there is a sloping grassed garden with views over the fields towards Whitaside and beyond. There is bench seating and table on the level outside the front door on which to sit and enjoy the evening summer sun. To the side of the house is a lockable stone outbuilding suitable for storing bicycles.

Pets: sorry no pets allowed.

Parking: Private off-road parking next to the property for one vehicle; further parking available on street in the village.

Heating: Two wood burning stoves and oil central heating throughout the cottage.

Short Breaks: Accepted all year round.

Notes: Towels are provided. No smoking at this property. Unlimited WiFi,  within reason, available free of charge. Mobile phone signal variable depending on provider. Please ensure to bring your own Tassimo pods for machine.

We loved Windyridge, it was perfect for our Christmas break. Both the kitchen/diner and lounge were nicely decorated. The cottage was toasty warm and well equipped, even the knives were sharp, a rare thing in holiday cottages. It's in a great location too, fabulous views over the valley and a short walk to an excellent pub, there's even a fish and Read morechip van visiting on a Friday. Hide

A stunning location with amazing views over Swaledale. Great area for walking and exploring the Dales. Cottage really well equipped and so peaceful. 5 mins walk to very nice pub and others in nearby villages. Highly recommend this accommodation.
