Number Forty is located on the quaint Lostwithiel Street in Fowey. Tucked away you will find this cosy cottage, complete with luxurious furnishings and finished to a high standard. When entering you will be greeted by the bright and spacious open plan living area and kitchen. The well equipped kitchen and comforting woodburner is the perfect space to enjoy some quality time with your friends or family. On those warmer evenings why not use the barbeque on the rear patio area and dine al fresco, with picturesque views over the rooftops, the church, Place House and onto the estuary. A truly wonderful spot to relax and unwind with a good book. 

The property is just a short walk away from the quay and many independent shops, eateries and pubs which makes Fowey such a popular place to return to year on year. Take a trip to one of Foweys' well renowned pubs or restaurants, such as The Ship Inn and The Haveners, to taste some of the delicious locally caught seafood which makes Cornwall such a foodie destination. If exploring by foot tempts you The Hall Walk is a spectacular circular coastal walk which includes two ferry rides. Or if you wish to explore further afield why not try The Eden Project where you can wander around an indoor rainforest.

Bedroom 2: Double bed (4'6"), bedside units with lamps, original feature fireplace, fitted wardrobe, Sonos speaker, sash windows with shutters and blinds to front aspect.
Shower Room: Shower with handheld shower, basin, w.c., heated towel rail and electric underfloor heating.
Bathroom: Slipper bath, basin, w.c., heated towel rail.

SECOND FLOOR:
Bedroom 1: (Open to stairway) King Size Ercol Bed (5'), bedside units with lamps, fitted wardrobe, Roberts radio, exposed beams, two accent chairs, sash windows with blinds to front and rear aspects. Great views across the town to the estuary.

GARDEN AND PARKING: Rear terrace area with glazed balustrades with view to estuary, outside dining table and chairs, deckchairs, charcoal barbeque. There is no parking at the property but unloading is possible outside. The nearest public car park is in Hanson Drive – PL23 1ET. 

Power and Heat: Heating and electricity included in rent; heated towel rails; woodburner.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided.
Baby Equipment: Not provided.

NOTES: Sorry, no pets allowed. No smoking. WiFi provided. This property is less suited to young children due to the two sets of stairs and limited space to store pushchairs.

Absolutely stunning cottage in the heart of Fowey. Beautiful decor and thoughtful lay out. One of the best we have stayed in. Once dropped car into carpark, didn't need it again as made the most of Fowey and the lovely walks and beaches.

Our stay at Number 40 was fantastic. Beautifully equipped cottage, spotless and comfortable. The position is perfect for all the towns facilities as well as easy access down the steep hill from the car park. We had a fabulous holiday and would happily stay again. Thank you

Probably the best holiday cottage weve had! Furnished to a high standard. Exceptionally clean throughout and a very comfortable bed. Great views and a perfect location to enjoy Fowey and the surrounding area. Couldnt fault it! Parking wasnt a problem. You can park in the main car park for a week for 26. It is only a short walk away but you do neRead moreed to be able to negotiate a steep flight of steps. Not an issue for us. A quick stop to off load luggage outside the property from your car is possible. We will certainly recommend the cottage to family and friends. Hide

We have had a wonderful week here at No 40. The cottage is beautiful, we really enjoyed the quality of everything. You have done a wonderful job restoring the house. We enjoyed opening the patio doors every morning and having our tea on the terrace. We also loved the list of "things to do" in the summer room and did nearly all of them! Thank you Number Forty! What a wonderful week we've had! Visited all the local spots-including Brown Sugar Caf and Pintxo which we highly recommend! But the true star of the show was the beautiful cottage that we returned to every day-such comfy beds! It may have been our first visit but it won't be our last. Back soon.

We have had a great stay in Number Forty. The cottage is amazing and kitted out with top quality furniture and love how modern and clean it is. Spent most our evenings before bed, enjoying the view from the top window. Would recommend Sam's restaurant, food was amazing. An absolute gem of a property just a short walk into the centre of Fowey. The property is furnished to the highest standard, great views from the master bedroom viewing window of Fowey Church, Place and the estuary. We felt very at home and were sad to leave !
