Weve just returned from a weeks stay in Sailors Rest and it was a delightful place to stay. Very comfortable and everything you could possibly need whilst away from home. One possible change to make would be a slightly larger smart tv.

Sorry for late review due to family hospitalisation. The Sailor's Rest accommodation was excellent with the bonus of a very good welcoming pack, the shower in en-suite bathroom was the best we have encountered, definitely recommend this place Derek and Janet

Very little to fault. Black out blinds would be useful in the front bedrooms due to traffic and an automated light across the road which illuminated the bedrooms at night.

Wonderful relaxed location central to many attractions both coastal and inland; museums, gardens, zoo, birds of prey sanctuary and vineyards to recommend just a few. Great rear view from the property and spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds and loads of wardrobe hanging space (sadly, very limited drawer or shelf space) Good kitchen facilitieRead mores, adequate for everyday prep and cooking with large fridge / freezer and dishwasher. A washing machine and separate tumble dryer are also available for anyone who feels they should be doing their laundry while on holiday. Local village store for basics and an even closer well-stocked farm shop plus the local village pub with good food. I have no doubt that you will enjoy a stay here and return home relaxed and refreshed. Hide

The cottage was spotlessly clean. It is in a good location for Southwold and surrounding areas. The cottage is comfortable with just about everything you need. There is a bit of traffic noise from the road in front of the house, I'm not sure you could sleep in the front bedrooms with the windows open in hot weather. The view across the wheat fiRead moreelds at the back was lovely, although I suspect it will be harvested very soon. We saw a Barn Owl quartering over the field one night.
