Set on a working farm this pet-friendly Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottage is part of an award winning barn renovation. Llysfaen Cottage is a pet-friendly Brecon Beacons Holiday Cottage adjoins two other cottages and is on a working farm that includes a total of four holiday cottages. This 100 acre working farm provides plenty enough space for everyone. The farm specialises in prime organic lamb. The cottage is set in a farmyard in the quiet rural village of Cray, in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. This is red-kite country and kites can often be seen swooping above the farm.

With excellent walking, cycling and other activities nearby it is an ideal location to take advantage of all the Brecon Beacons National Park has to offer. There are options for larger families or groups to stay in multiple properties on the site. The traditional old market town of Brecon is about 8 miles away while the nearest local pub, shops and petrol stations are in Sennybridge, about 3 miles away. Throughout the year there are many events in the area including the Brecon Jazz Festival, Hay Festival, Green Man Festival and the world renowned Royal Welsh Agricultural Show and Winter Fair both held in Builth Wells. Despite its rural and peaceful location the cottage enjoys great road links to both Swansea (around 45 mins) and Cardiff (around 50 mins) and the main bus route to Brecon is located only a short walk away from the cottage.

The Cottage was essentially home from home in terms of an attractive, comfortable living/dining space and a well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms had lots of storage, the beds were comfortable. The whole stay at Llysfaen was peaceful, relaxing, enjoyable in a beautiful location which has to be experienced to be appreciated. If you get a chance to Read morego on the Tractor Run dont miss it! We were so lucky to be able to get involved with lambing with our 2 young children, 8 and 6. The kids were able to lamb a ewe (highlight of our time here!) and help with hay and water, gave a lamb some milk via bottle, transporting sheep to the field in both the tractor and the quad bike. The family were very friendly and welcoming. Really clean, comfortable beds, friendly owners and super views. The setting was in a quiet village far from noise and bustle of urban life. I am feeling a bit homesick for this lovely cottage.
