We had a fantastic stay at the Chestnuts in Boscastle. The cottage is very cosy, excellently located in proximity of a shop, pub and Boscastle harbour. The owner was very helpful with recommendations (Tintagel Brewery, don't miss steak night!) And sorting out a minor TV issue very promptly. The cottage was very well-equipped, clean and cosy. It is directly on a road which isn't obvious in the photos (we thought the road was a private drive in front of the house from the photos). There is a very short uphill walk to a good general stores and a pub/restaurant. Other facilities are all down the hill by the harbour. Boscastle is a pretty Read morevillage but those with mobility issues may find the location of the Chestnuts inconvenient. We had a few small issues (heating thermostat, tv and one of the keys) but all were dealt with immediately. Good communication! Hide

This is a lovely cottage, well appointed with nice features. The location on a steep hill with no foot path and over the road parking may be a problem for those with young children or limited mobility.

This was our fourth time in Boscastle and the first time at the Chestnuts. We loved the house! There was loads of room, it was comfortable and the garden is lovely. We loved just hanging out there and would return in a heartbeat. Thoroughly recommended!

The cottage is stunning and location fantastic. Boscastle is a fantastic location to stay and the centre just a short 10 minute walk from the cottage. We had most things that we needed in the cottage but a little disappointed with the lack of toilet rolls, kitchen towel and washing up liquid that we were given to last the week. The cottage was Read morelovely and spacious, with a beautiful garden to use as well and parking is just on the other side of the road to the cottage which was an added bonus. Bedrooms were very comfortable with nice amount of cotton towels to use. Having the utility room with the washing machine and dryer along with an additional shower and toilet and an ironing board was very handy to wash any clothes before we headed home. Decor was nice and comfortable and loved having sky to watch when we were at home in the evening. All in all we were happy with the cottage, it gave us the comfort feeling of being at home but also ideally located for our needs. Hide

What a beautiful and comfortable cottage. The cottage was very clean throughout. There was plenty of hot water for the showers. We had a lovely holiday. The location of the cottage is ideal for reaching many interesting places. Definitely recommend.

Chestnut Cottage was a real home from home. It was more spacious than we expected. We really enjoyed our stay there & the village of Boscastle. Special thanks to Mark for sorting the thermostat so promptly. Whilst we were at Chestnut to explore the area, one gripe was the Sky television reception. This is a well-appointed cottage that is a short walk down to the Wellington pub, the walk back up the hill is harder - Boscastle is hilly! Another review commented that the cottage is on a main road and parking is on the other side of the road. It is, but this main road isnt as busy as the suburban side road I live in, it is quiet. We enjoyed our Read morestay and were blessed with excellent, warm, sunny September weather. Just unwinding, reading in the garden with a glass of wine and using the cottage as a base. Hide

A very comfortable large property that suited our family of 5 adults very well. Spacious house, beautiful garden and lovely beds/linen. A steep walk back up the hill from Boscastle but works off all the lovely food & drink! Great neighbour, very helpful regarding local area/beaches/tide times etc as no information left in property or a guest book to get recommendations. No welcome pack (milk/tea/coffee etc) handwash, or cleaning products provided. Beautiful area, loved Boscastle; the harbour, SW path walks and surrounding area. Farm shop great and The Good Stuff cafe fab. A few personal touches would make this an outstanding property. Hide

We had a lovely week at the Chestnuts. Very clean. Super comfy beds. Lots of hot water. A spacious property with the exception of the main bathroom, which was incredibly small. Access to the garden was a real bonus as we had a three year old with us. Parking opposite was good and we didn't have a problem with having to cross the road.
