Grey Vine is a beautifully set out two bedroomed cottage which sleeps four in the delightful town of Filey on the North Yorkshire Coast. Situated on one of the oldest streets in Filey with a view of the sea from the front door this delightful cottage is ideal for small families or couples. The owners have taken a great deal of care to make this cottage perfect for your holiday with the bonus of an enclosed patio through the bifold doors with dining table and parasol, just perfect for alfresco dining. There is an open plan living/dining and kitchen area, just right for a small family to be together after a day on the beach or great for friends to enjoy each other’s company whilst preparing a tasty dinner from local Yorkshire fayre or to sit and relax in front of the large smart TV and watch a favourite film. Upstairs you will find two comfortable bedrooms, both with an ensuite. The cottage is only two minutes stroll to the beach front where you can enjoy an ice cream after a game of crazy golf, or just sit back and watch the waves roll in.

GROUND FLOOR

Lounge/Dining Room/Kitchen: Through the front door into the light and airy open plan room with bifold doors leading out into the enclosed courtyard. After a long day exploring the delights of Filey relax on the luxury sofa watching the wall mounted Smart TV or on cooler evenings snuggle up in front of the gas log effect fire. There are two small tables and a standard lamp for ambient lighting. Enjoy your home cooked meal at the modern table with four chairs. There is a very useful storage cupboard to put all those seaside things so essential for a day on the beach!
The kitchen area is modern and spacious and incorporates an electric oven with gas hob and hood over, dishwasher, fridge and freezer and a washer dryer. A window looks over the front of the property.  There is plenty of room and equipment for all your cooking needs
Cloakroom: through the storage cupboard you will find the downstairs cloakroom with WC and wash hand basin with mirror over and a heated towel rail.

FIRST FLOOR
Landing: 
A staircase from the hallway area leads up to the landing which in turn leads to the bedrooms.

Bedroom 1: This is a truly delightful room, with a king-sized bed, bedside tables with lamps, large wardrobe with plenty of clothes storage and a dressing table with mirror and stool. There is a large wall mounted Smart TV for you to enjoy a lazy morning in bed.
Ensuite: This is a real plus with an oversized shower cubicle a toilet and wash basin with mirror above.

Bedroom 2:  This room boasts twin beds. A bedside chest of drawers with lamp and a clothes hanging rail. Again you can have the benefit of a wall mounted Smart TV. This room overlooks the front of the property.
Ensuite: A super addition to this cosy room, there is a shower cubicle, basin and sanitaryware, just right to wash the sand from between your toes

Enclosed Patio: An enclosed paved patio, with a table and four chairs and parasol, just the place for some al fresco dining in the sun.

Parking: On street parking on a first come first served basis

We loved our stay in this house. Perfectly located for the beach, shops, parks. Its on a quiet street and very comfortable. The house is well furnished and has everything you would need to feel right at home. We didnt want to leave.

40 Queen Street is located in a quiet, friendly area 10 minutes from the rail station & 5 minutes from the beach, amenities & bus station all, except the beach, reached on the level. It is well appointed with double glazing, central heating & is well stocked with white, utensil & media goods making it perfect for all types of weather. We were in the area house hunting so we just needed somewhere local to rest and get a feel for Filey. We could not have found anything better, the house was immaculate, warm, very cosy and had everything you in a kitchen. The location was ideal for all the pubs and the lovely town, everyone we spoke to were so friendly!

Lovely stay. Everything you could think of provided in the kitcheneven milk and bread. The house is clean and in a great spot for an evening wander and a base to explore further in the daytime.

This property is a little Gem. Spacious and cosy. Well equipped. Clean and gives a sense of calmness with its decor and light. This is definitely on my favourites list

A very comfortable stay for two of us(other family member couldn't come) and is ideal for two anyway in a good back street location.Parking was mostly okay so not an issue. The modernisation of the house has been very well done for a small space.

The cottage was really comfortable and clean, and had everything you could need! There was some nice bread and cake waiting for me when I arrived too which was a lovely touch. Thank you for a great stay!

This is a fantastic base for Filey & the coast up to Whitby. Lovely beaches and many places to visit, knowing you are returning to a comfortable base. We were lucky with the weather too! Great holiday
