Wenhaston is a pretty village, with excellent country pubs within easy reach of the cottage, serving food and local ales. The Star in Wenhaston or The Queen’s Head at Blyford offer some great local homemade cuisines, as well as a warm and friendly welcome. A fantastic network of public footpaths connects much of these pretty villages together and well worth a wander through the countryside to see them. The wonderful outdoor Theatre and restaurant Husk with its supper clubs at Thorington is less than two miles nearby. Day trips to the Suffolk Heritage Coast are a must during your stay. Pack up a picnic and head off to Dunwich, just 5 miles away where there is a gorgeous sandy beach and scenic heath to meander through. If you enjoy long walks, there is a stunning board walk that stretches all the way to Walberswick. A short distance away at Darsham is the renowned Two Magpies bakery, offering a selection of homemade patisseries, as well as their legendary Sourdough Pizza’s - the perfect pitstop after a day at the beach.
This charming country cottage set over 4 floors is situated in a quiet spot within the village and is ideal for that much need rest and relaxation. Take six steps up to let yourselves into this inviting bolthole and you are welcomed into the snug and cosy living come dining room. Settle down on the sofas to watch a good movie or revel in a great book. Step down into the snug where there is another sofa and television and plenty of games to enjoy. The quirky country kitchen is at the back of the cottage and overlooks the pretty garden. Here, you can whip up some tasty meals to enjoy together around the dining table in the main room. There is also a family bathroom on the lower ground floor too. Upstairs there are two bedrooms available. The first is a light and bright twin bedroom, and the second, which is accessed via another staircase, is a lovely super-king bedroom and an en-ensuite shower room. This pretty cottage is the ideal escape for those who love to be out and about exploring by day and look for a cosy bolthole to relax in by evening.
The garden, which has an access point and laundry facilities that are shared with the neighbouring property, is a delight. Children and pets can play on the grass while you sip on a cup of tea on the deck or unwind in the summerhouse. The village also boasts a fantastic recreational field with outdoor gym as well as the local tennis courts which is available on a pay and play basis. Parking is on the street and subject to availability.
