A lovely characterful cottage in an excellent location, a few minutes walk from the market square. Ideal for a couple. There are steep stairs although being in our early 70s and reasonably actve we coped with them. We were able to park outside the property but at the height of the season this may not be the case.

The cottage is ideally situated in a quiet road in Lavenham with plenty of on street parking and within easy walking distance of the Market Square and the childrens playground just outside the village. We felt like we had stepped into Harry Potters Godric Hollow when we went outside the front door one evening when the windows of the surrounding medRead moreieval cottages were lit up. The welcome of milk in the fridge and biscuits were much appreciated, and the living room was comfortable and warm. The stairs are very steep and the floors creak (not surprising in an old building, but a bit of a trial with a light sleeping baby in the family.) There is a great baker in the Market Square for fresh bread and cakes, and two Coops for emergency supplies. Hide

we had only two things to mention. 1. to be clearer on what happens about bin waste ( where to but it) and we had to purchase logs and a lighter for the burner as they were not supplied. we were grateful of the welcome pack.

Lovely cottage, full of character and very well placed for the shops and pubs of Lavenham. Quiet road and we had no problem finding parking space close to the cottage. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. Yes, the upstairs bathroom is quirky but it is useful to have a toilet and basin upstairs nevertheless.

We thought the low ceiling and cramped area of the main bathroom would prove difficult for a tall man like myself, but once I got my bearings it was fine. We loved the property. Great, peaceful location. Street parking was no problem. Friendly locals.

Communication and access was excellent. The cottage itself was delightful and exactly as described on the website. It really is a home from home. Lavenham is a beautiful village and the cottage is extremely well positioned to allow easy reach within a very short walk. I have no hesitation in recommending Coppers Cottage as a fabulous place to stay.

I have never seen a cleaner or better equipped holiday cottage, it has pretty much everything. That it is cosy and right in the heart of Lavenham only adds to its charm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was warm and cosy despite some rather wet weather, and we really appreciated the milk, cake and tea/coffee left for us on our arrival after a long journey. The kitchen is very well equipped, the beds are really comfortable and the living room had an interesting collection of books to browse. An excellent stay.

Coppers couldn't be in a more perfect position within Lavenham. Without being slap bang in the main hub of the attractions, you are only 2 minutes away from everything. And what a perfect, quirky, beautiful village, with a blend of independent shops, choice of grocery outlets, tea rooms and pubs / restaurants - all easily accessible and good varietRead morey of choice. And, if walking is important, then there are a number of stunning walks starting almost from the doorstep (Though some are a little overgrown right now, which is likely due to the 'damp' start to this summer) It is also a short drive away from many attractions, such as NT etc, so Coppers is ideally situated for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday within the Suffolk area. On street parking was never a problem for us, and we always managed to park right across the road from the property. We were also very impressed to find that all the little details were covered in this property, with enough hand wash, kitchen rolls, tea, coffee, sugar, dishwasher tablets, to say nothing of the milk and cake on arrival - thank you Coppers. The only downside for us was the garden. We select our holiday properties with certain things on our wish list, and an enclosed garden is one of them. We enjoy eating outside and sitting out in the evenings, to enjoy a glass of wine (or cup of tea) as the sun sets. Despite a pleasant looking garden in the photos for Coppers (And the cottage info stating that a gardener visits every 2 weeks??) The garden is tired. The furniture is old and dilapidated, the patio is mossy and dirty, and the bushes and shrubs overgrown. It's a real shame, because it's nothing that an afternoon with a jet wash, shears and maybe some furniture restoration couldn't put right. Hide
