Heacham is a thriving coastal village with two great beaches, nominated North and South. The flat sands and calm waters are a magnet for fans of kite surfing, jet skiing, windsurfing, paddle boarding and other outdoor pursuits. The village itself is well served with local shops including Tesco Express, bakery, Fish & Chip shop, local pubs, even a barber shop and chemist. Heacham is also home to the famous Norfolk Lavender, which includes a great farm shop showcasing local produce, café and small animal farm. Along the coast find Hunstanton and Old Hunstanton where the eye-catching cliffs are a great spot for fossil hunting and rock pooling and local golf is on hand. Beautiful countryside is just moments away and cyclists may wish to explore the surrounding area on two wheels with bicycles hire available from the village high street. The RSPB reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham are close by and attract bird watchers year-round but particularly in the autumn & winter months when many birds migrate to this part of Norfolk. Visit the neighbouring villages and dine out in style and book a table at The White Horse, Brancaster Staithe or popular nearby eateries such as the award winning ‘Olde Bank’ and ‘Rose & Crown’ at nearby Snettisham. Gin lovers can enjoy a trip to the infamous ‘Gin Trap Inn’ at Ringstead. Burnham Market is a short drive away and a great day out; explore the boutique shops, galleries, wine bars and eateries. Becoming known as the Royal coast, do not forget a visit to the Royal Estate at Sandringham or take a walk along the newly named King Charles III England Coastal Path.
