Step back in time in this impressive Grade II listed house, still retaining many of its original 17th century features and furnishings but with appropriate concessions to modern-day living. Situated in the peaceful village of Elton, the house is ideally situated for exploring the wonderful local walks as well as being just a short drive from Bakewell, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and many other popular local attractions.
Elton House has been in the owner’s family for centuries! Just think beamed ceilings, stone flagged floors, shuttered windows, oak doors and panelling, four poster beds, an open fires and a log burning stove. Then add sumptuous sofas, beautiful soft furnishings, dark oak furniture and the more modern aspects – a fitted kitchen and three super bathrooms. It’s just wonderful!
The house sits in its own lawned garden with covered patio area on the former farm, where the owner keeps horses. Stabling may also be available, by arrangement, for guests who might be interested in bringing their horse on holiday too; please enquire.
