Stones Throw is the perfect choice for larger families or groups of friends to holiday together. The centre of Mortehoe village with its pubs, post office and village store is just a few minutes walk and a mile further will bring you to Woolacombe with a wider choice of pubs, cafes, shops and not forgetting its award winning surfing beach, with local surf school.  Perfect for keen walkers, the entrance to the coastal path is just at the end of the road, where you can enjoy breath-taking views across the sea to Lundy Island. Rockham Bay, a secluded beach with rockpools, Morte Point with its spectacular views and the walk to Lee Bay are all popular choices.

This spacious and well-kept family home has been recently updated (works due to complete Autumn 2021) with a lovely modern kitchen/family room with centre island, comfy sofa and large wall mounted TV. Linked with the dining area, both rooms have bi-fold doors to the back garden, creating a wonderful space for family and friends to socialise. Upstairs there are four co-ordinated bedrooms, two ensuite shower rooms and a family bathroom. The property is in a slightly elevated position giving wonderful sea/coastal views from the front garden.

Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £350, which is payable to Marsdens Devon Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

Overall, the house was lovely and spacious - an opinion shared by all of us staying there. Front and back gardens to sit in were a bonus. Plenty of parking space. Virtually on the coast path and eateries just a few yards away.

The cottage was fantastic, plenty of room for us all (3 generations group) which allowed us to have our own space if we needed to. The owners were very easy to contact when we needed to and the problem dealt with straight away. The welcome treats were a very nice touch including for the dog. Stones Throw was a lovely house. It was clean, spacious and very well equipped. The hosts were at the end of a phone if you needed them and they left some lovely treats for our arrival! Would highly recommend and will definitely go back.

A beautiful home with everything you need for a large group. Large bedrooms, plenty of bathrooms and great kitchen with breakfast bar, dishwasher and plenty of utensils. Lovely chill out area and cosy snug. The location was also great. Morthoe village centre is a really quick walk with two pubs, tea rooms and several take outs places. Woolacoombe iRead mores a quick 5 minute drive, to a long sandy beach. Perfect week and the weather was actually quite nice (just one rainy day) Highly recommended. Hide

A fabulous, stylish, clean, comfortable and spacious property in the beautiful village of Mortehoe. We have been coming to the Woolacombe area for the last 20 years and it is probably the best property we have stayed in. Highly recommend.

What a fabulous property! Really spacious, lots of seating, front and rear gardens gets sun all day round amazing sunsets. Well equiped property with comfy beds fitted eight adults happily. Lots of games, coastal walks from the door and a village with two pubs, fish and chips and a shop. We had amazing weather and there was so much to do. A well equipped, nicely decorated, comfortable, large house. Ideal for three generations on holiday together. Plenty of lounging space and places to get away from everyone if you want to. An excellent holiday house.

A brilliant family get together from Bristol, Spain and Portshed. Thank you so much for the use of your lovely spacious practical homely house. The decor is very appealing and the use of the front garden, back garden furniture and reading in the front porch was very enjoyable. Others enjoyed Sky sports with the cricket. We walked to the lighthouRead morese, Mark Point, Woolacombe multiple times and the coast path from Puttsborough round to Baggy Point. We found the Tunnel beaches at Ilfracombe very unusual. The weather has been brilliant and only started to rain as we packed up to go. We would love to return one day soon. Thank you so much for your welcome. Hide

We have had a lovely time. Great location for walks along the coast, easy access to great beaches. Spacious room for 8 people and 2 dogs. Front and back gardens trapped the sun to top up our tans. Hope to come again very soon.
