This cottage is in a fabulous location in the centre of Staithes. It is comfortable and well equipped. We stayed for a weekend in February and were warm and cosy. There is plenty of room for a family, and/or 2 couples, just be aware there are 3 floors and the stairs are quite steep. It wasnt as clean as we would have liked, just a couple of issueRead mores, but it wouldnt stop us going back. There is no parking at the property, although there is space outside to unload and you can leave your car outside for 40 mins. Parking is at the top of the village and there is a charge, except out of season. Hide

We would highly recommend this holiday cottage, it's in a beautiful and idyllic location, very peaceful and quiet (although we were there in the off peak season). The owners have equipped the cottage really well and we appreciated the tea and coffee and little milks when we got there. It's a lovely space to be in and the perfect base to explore StaRead moreithes and all the surrounding area. The wood burning stove makes for a cosy evening in the cottage and you are close (walking distance) to some great pubs and places to eat. Hide

This cottage is in a perfect position in the village. It is very cosy and comfortable. There are several flights of stairs to be aware of but compared to many cottages in Staithes there is plenty of space. Lovely to have the small outdoor area if the weather is favourable.

WOW a fantastic property, clean, bright, quiet, warm, added bonus a wood burner for colder seasons. The charm of Staithes is higgledy-piggledy, with lots of steps, this property is spread over 4 floors, however, another BIG plus for staying here is the outside patio area, it leads straight from the kitchen and is quite private, the property is wellRead more situated on the main street, a few minutes from the shops, pubs, cafs and harbour. There is a 'drop off ' space at the front door for unloading, we strongly recommend checking out 'Parking in Staithes' well in advance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and Definately recommend this property. Hide

Lovely cottage on Staithes high street, arrived Friday to unexpected glorious weather, we had a few issues with the cottage which the owner did his utmost, to sort, got a plumber out Saturday afternoon and again first thing Monday morning (no hot water ) However a couple of other issues should have been sorted before the season started. Patio was aRead more disgrace which the owner came from distance to clean, so we were most grateful as the weather was superb, ( advertised as a feature of the property) front door in need of a paint which the owner says is on his list to do, but wasn't a very welcome first thing to see on arrival, Shower base inside and out needs a good clean lots of mould and limescale, leak out of base by sink, some I tried to clean but without proper cleaner couldn't do much, and wasn't my job to do. large cobweb in shower room which I couldn't reach some others I did remove, All in all we had a good time, comfy bed, and sofas, large kitchen, good equipment everything you needed good storage for food, but feel the issues mentioned above, should have been checked before bookings start. Does the cottage company not inspect their property's before the season begin to make sure their descriptions and photos are accurate. In which case some of these things could then have been reported to the owner to be put right. Once again the owner was most helpful in putting the issues he could put right very quickly, which enabled us to stay at the property otherwise we would have had to move elsewhere. Hide
