With the Quay, fabulous sandy beach and pretty lanes on your doorstep, there’s plenty to fill your days just a short walk away. If you want to explore further afield, the hop on the Coast Hopper bus service to discover the rest of the coast from Victorian Cromer to beautiful Brancaster and beyond. Wells-next-the-Sea is a popular town on the Norfolk Coast. Enjoy a spot of crabbing by the picturesque harbour and with fresh shellfish available you can enjoy the catch of the day or Fish and Chips on the Quay. Take a stroll to the beach along the harbour footpath or hop aboard the narrow-gauge steam railway where you’re rewarded with views of colourful beach huts decorating the vast sands elevated against a woodland backdrop. From the Buttlands to the Quay you'll find plenty of local pubs and restaurants to savour as well as delicatessens, butchers, fishmonger and boutique shops, which can be found nestled amongst the pretty lanes. With so many wonderful places to visit nearby why not take a short drive to the current home of the Earl of Leicester, Holkham Hall, which hosts numerous events throughout the year. Holkham beach can be reached along the shoreline from Wells-next-the-Sea and is the chosen beach of the ‘Household Cavalry’ who can be seen galloping along whilst taking a well-earned break in the summer. The unspoiled coastal scenery surrounding Wells-next-the-Sea are a haven for walkers, cyclists, bird/wildlife enthusiasts, photographers, sailors and anglers. Take seal watching boat trips or explore on hired cycles with ‘On Yer Bike’ cycle hire close-by. Other delights nearby are Burnham Market and its sister villages, Brancaster, Blakeney, Cley-next-the-Sea and the Georgian town of Holt to name just a few.

Lovely cosy cottage close to all amenities. Plenty of shops and local pubs nearby. But you need to be fit to climb the stairs. Were very steep to bedrooms .

Great location and very peaceful. Stairs not ideal if mobility problems (which didnt affect us. ) This is our second visit to this cottage and likely to book again.

Weve just had a wonderful week in this property. Very comfortable and bang in the centre of town. Lovely bedrooms and bathrooms. Plenty of nice pubs and restaurants nearby.

Cosy clean well equipped cottage with unique features in the centre of Wells which has good shops and eateries. Good communication prior to arrival and good information folder on arrival . A lovely place to stay in the heart of Wells. On the Main Street. Comfortable downstairs space and well stocked kitchen. Nice welcome pack. First floor bedroom good size and en suite good shower. Stairs light automatic. We didnt sleep on the third floor but was nice bedroom with en suite. The stairs are steep but there is a support rope. Great cottage in a great location. Well equipped, recently decorated, close to all attractions in the town. Wells is the best place to be based in the area, went everywhere by bus. Parked the whole week for free on The Buttlands.

Wow!! This is one of the best cottages we've ever stayed at, we visit Wells-next-the-sea every year and will 1000% be booking to stay here again. The location is right in the middle of Staithe Street, there is plenty of nearby parking and lots of options for pubs. This was one of the best holiday cottages weve ever stayed in . The location was perfect right in the main shopping street, it was very clean and we had everything we needed .The welcome pack was much appreciated. The photos dont do this cottage justice it is beautiful.
