With a clifftop promenade and gardens, an award-winning Blue Flag beach hugged by colourful beach huts, crazy golf and one of the smallest maritime museums in the UK, Mundesley is a truly delightful coastal village. When the tide is out the shallow waters and long, sandy beach make this a play haven for young and old alike. Mundesley’s Gold Park offers outdoor gym, multi-use games area, skate park and play area. There are plenty of pit stops for coffee and cake, fish and chips, good local shops for everyday needs and The Ship Inn has an increasingly growing reputation. There is an excellent 9-hole golf course and driving range in the village with both horse riding and sea fishing available locally. The Broads National Park is just a short drive away - enjoy river trips at Wroxham, the capital of The Broads, where you can even captain a boat yourself! Venture further afield for playbarns, Amazona Zoo at Cromer, the National Trusts’ Felbrigg and Blickling estates, nature reserve and bird watching at Cley and railway buffs can choose from the steam line from Sheringham to elegant Holt or the small gauge Bure Valley Railway to The Broads National Park. The picturesque Georgian town of Holt is about 12 miles away and has excellent shopping facilities. There is plenty to do here and a visit to the east of the county will not disappoint.
