East Barsham is a small village nestled in quiet, rolling countryside close to the small market town of Fakenham and with excellent access to the North Norfolk Coast at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham. Wells-next-the-Sea, has a pretty harbour and narrow gauge railway, which leads to a vast sandy beach backed by colourful beach huts. The area is renowned for its bird watching opportunities with Cley and Blakeney easily accessible. National Cycle routes 1 & 2 will take you through some super countryside and villages. In the heart of Nelson country, you are surrounded by The Burnhams - a collection of 7 hamlets and villages each with their own character. Visit the coastal village of Burnham-Overy-Staithe with its harbour for sailing or the ever-popular Georgian village of Burnham Market with boutique shopping, delicatessens, wine merchants, galleries, interior design shops and more. The village pub, The Barsham Arms, which was recently featured on the Hairy Bikers is within easy walking distance (please note: The Barsham Arms is currently closed but will hopefully reopen for the Summer), as is the Barsham Brewery; their Street Food Fridays with live music is very popular.
