This gorgeous two-storey house, located in the heart of Southwold, is perfect for couples, friends or families looking for a relaxing holiday close to the Suffolk coast. Southwold is a lovely seaside town and you are less than half a mile's walk from exploring the market, the lighthouse, the beach and Gun Hill, where there used to be a two-gun battery stationed. So, bring your buckets and spades and enjoy some traditional fun paddling in the sea, sampling the local seafood and enjoying an ice cream.

A charming property offering you a warm welcome that showcases coastal living at its best. With white-washed walls, the spaces are bright and inviting, and during the summer months, open the bifold doors from the kitchen and let the outside in. On the ground floor are the lounge with a large corner sofa for relaxing and chatting, a Smart TV and a wood burner to cosy around in the cooler months. The contemporary kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm. There is a bathroom with a shower and WC on the ground floor. Upstairs you’ll find one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a toilet with a wash basin. Outside you can enjoy the enclosed garden with a play area, perfect for the kids. There is also a private courtyard with outdoor furniture for your morning coffee, and a fire pit and BBQ to make al fresco dining a breeze.

The nearby Ben Acre National Nature Reserve (7 miles) is perfect for wildlife and bird enthusiasts, or a great family day out is Gunton Wood (15 miles), with paths through the woods, seating and a pond. For the best beaches, stay close to home at The Denes Beach less than a mile away, and Walberswick Beach (1 mile), the latter is reached by the summer-only foot ferry, and is perfect for water sports.

comfortable and good location close to town centre. The property caters for four people but the upstairs would be quite snug with four adults.

Great location, nicely decorated and well-equipped. However, it was very noisy owing to nesting seagulls which disturbed sleep. The double bedroom is compact.

Lovely property but beware of seagulls. There are nests on the roof and outhouse, and we had two chicks in the courtyard the whole week. It would probably be OK outside of seagull breeding season.

The cottage has an excellent location. A quiet street in the town close to the beach and other amenities. There is no parking outside the property but we found several close by and there are several car parks.
