The ground floor is completed by a bedroom with pretty, gothic windows overlooking the garden, a shower room and dining area. The elegant staircase takes you to a beautiful master bedroom with a modern 4 poster, a bunk bedroom and a capacious bathroom that is just waiting for you to luxuriate in, champagne at the ready! A gorgeous retreat in one of Norfolk’s most popular locations, The Bailey is one of five properties that make up The Grove, a small, select group of Grade 11 listed buildings in a quiet and exclusive setting. Shops/Pubs: 1 mile

The property can be booked, if availability permits, in conjunction with The Stables (Property Ref: 2207) also located in The Grove complex to accommodate larger groups/families.

The cottage was lovely, peaceful, amazing location and exactly what we were looking for as a holiday destination. We did have a couple turn up wanting to see the property as its up for sale, a heads up for that would have been a nice touch - having that couple peer in to the window was a little strange. The location of The Bailey is fantastic its set in quiet, private grounds close to Holt, making it a great base for exploring the surrounding area and coastline. Holt itself is a lovely town with plenty of independent shops and some excellent places to eat or enjoy a coffee. We did experience some issues with the property during our stay, but tRead morehese were reported and dealt with quickly and professionally by Customer Services, which we really appreciated. Despite the problems, we had an enjoyable time overall. Avoid. We abandoned our holiday after 4 nights into a 2 week stay and would have left earlier if we hadn't got things booked we couldn't cancel. The place was dirty, with dozens of dead insects everywhere. The decor was tired and worn with plaster missing off the walls and stains on soft furnishings. The rooms were too small and there is not enoughRead more space or amenities for the number of people they claim to be able to host. There was a damp/sweaty smell. The garden was overgrown. The list goes on. That this place is advertised as a 5* luxury is a total joke. Have over 100 photos of the state of this place and currently in discussion for a refund but HC/OC aren't exactly moving quick on that and since they've asked me for a review before they've bothered replying to my complaint I thought I'd oblige so others can avoid this dump. - Holiday cottages Reply: Thank you for your feedback. Nice property in a good location. Easily flat walk to the centre of Holt. Upstairs bedrooms were great but downstairs double was very cramped for two people as was the downstairs bathroom. Good size comfy lounge with large wall mounted TV. Board games and puzzles were a nice touch. Lovely large private garden with large outdoor table and chairsRead more but The BBQ was broken and couldnt be used. (There is no percolator as shown in the photos). There is only one shelf with missing struts, in the oven but there are no oven trays or grill pan so cooking or grilling anything was impossible until we bought an oven tray. The location was good. Holt is a lovely town. The cottage fell short of our expectations in a number of ways. Downstairs bedroom and bathroom cubicle was very cramped compared with the large rooms and bathroom upstairs. There were no basic supplies such was some washing up liquid, a broom and dustpan or a dishwasher tablet and maintenance outside wRead moreas poor with overgrown grass and a garden that needed cutting back and weeding. The situation is good as it is easy to access main roads in the car. The rest was a huge disappointment andI I feel that I had been overcharged for a property which certainly did not live up to the hype on the website. Cottage is really comfortable and well stocked with equipment . Very warm. Lots of space. Great location for North Norfolk Coast.

Lovely, well equipped cottage that is well situated. Lovely garden and seating area which gets the sun from mid morning to sunset. 15 minute walk into Holt and a short drive to Sheringham and Cromer. Great coastal bus service which we would recommend and saves having to get the car out.

Fantastic property in a great location. Well presented inside and well equipped for our stay. One of the main draws to the property was the outside space as we were holidaying with our dog, Holt is a lovely town and the Bailey made a perfect base to explore north Norfolk.
