It is under an hours drive to the historic City of Canterbury, the seaside town of Whitstable famous for its oysters and Rye with its medieval cobbled streets Places of interest locally are Leeds Castle with Go-Ape and its Segway Tours. There are a few National Trust properties near by; Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens, Bodiam and Scotney. There are famous gardens at Great Dixter, Pashley Manor and Hole Park, all great at different flowering times of year. Golf at Chart Hills. Frankie's Farmshop just outside Staplehurst and vineyards offering tastings and tours - Balfour Winery in Staplehurst and Chapel Down, Tenterden.
