Soon as we stepped in we knew would be happy here because we decorated to our liking very nice. Everything was provided. The only thing we struggled with was getting the hop on but having read the book we soon found out it was easy. I bet so nice and comfy, but I do have to agree with a few fellow comments that the traffic noise outside was pretty Read morebad at five in the morning but we are used to open countryside so other people might not notice it the same but it didnt stop us enjoying Hide

Lovely comfy cottage, ideally situated for an easy walk to Whitby, or for longer walks on the moors. Really clean throughout and spacious enough for 4 adults and two children. Really well equipped if you cook.

Lovely clean property which had plenty of space for 6 adults! The kitchen was fully equipped and the living space was a great place to relax. Bedrooms were a good size with nice views and everyone slept well. The back of the property is next to a main road however it wasnt too disturbing as traffic reduced greatly at night and only really increasedRead more at around 8/9am in the morning. Beautifully presented cottage. Well equipped and comfortable. Well situated for walks into Whitby and bus and train routes. Road noise was noticeable but not a problem during the night. Would stay here again.

This cottage is on a busy, noisy main road and does not lend itself to a quiet , relaxing holiday stay. I had seen some comments from previous guests regarding this however it was worse than we expected . There is a 20 mph limit on the road outside but since it is on a downhill many drivers are not adhering to this 20 mph limit ( which may possiblRead morey help reduce noise pollution if it was to be pursued by the cottage owners). The cottage itself was satisfactory and the letting company staff were very helpful when we had a query on arrival . The walk from Ruswarp is lovely and overall we had an enjoyable break in North Yorkshire which has so much to offer. Sadly not one we will revisit nor recommend due to the traffic /noise level. Response from Holidaycottages.co.uk Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay the owners have now installed double glazing in the property which has improved the road noise in the cottage. The cottage was very clean, well equipped with everything you would need for a good stay and a good size. The location was ideal. There was some road noise that has been mentioned in other reviews but it wasnt bad particularly, during the night. Would definitely recommend this property and also stay again.

Cottage location on a very busy main road caused traffic noise day and night and occasional vibration. This is not what you would describe as peaceful holiday let . Unfortunately this spoiled our holiday due to lack of sleep.

We had a lovely stay in Ruswarp, its an ideal base for exploring the area. The cottage had everything we needed and having your own off street parking is very welcome. The only minor comment I would make is its at the side of quite a busy main road which can be a bit noisy, so if youre a light sleeper bear this in mind.
