Nestled by the harbour with the stunning views the property overlooks the River Esk and looks towards Whitby and the Abbey. For steam train enthusiasts, superb views of these iconic trains can be seen arriving and leaving Whitby Station.

The property sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms one with en suite and a spacious bathroom.  The open plan living area is ideal to share those wonderful holiday moments together. This delightful riverside property benefits from stylish, quality furniture, oak doors, large windows to sit and watch the ever-changing scenery and oozes quality at every turn.

The location of 3 Old Sail Loft is ideal for exploring all the attractions of historic Whitby with its famous 199 steps leading to the Cistercian Whitby Abbey, said to be the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula, famous eateries such as The Magpie and Andrew Pern’s Star Inn The Harbour, superb fish and chip shops, cafes, restaurants and so much more.  Whitby caters for everyone whether you like history, the surrounding stunning walkways and cycleways for those of an energetic nature or the magnificent North York Moors where nature abounds at every turn and where there is something interesting to see whatever the season.

You may wish to venture further afield, and 3 Old Sail Loft is a perfect base to go exploring the nearby seaside towns of Scarborough and Filey or go inland to the picturesque villages of Thornton Le Dale or Hutton Le Hole, even their names conjure up romantic ideals of quaint Yorkshire villages.

There are French doors which open out onto an enclosed communal outside area shared by only one other apartment. There is a three-seater and four-seater leather sofa to relax on after a full day of sightseeing, a wall mounted Smart TV with access to BT Television, Now TV and Netflix ready for access via your account, two coffee tables, wall lights and a contemporary standard lamp.  Positioned to look out of the window over the estuary is a dining table and six chairs. 
Bedroom One: King size bed, bedside cabinets with lamps, large wardrobe, chair and a free-standing full-length mirror.
En suite: Shower cubicle with electric shower, toilet, washbasin with mirror over, heated towel rail and Karndean flooring.
Bedroom Two: Another lovely bedroom with King-size bed and two bedside cabinets with lamps. There is a large wardrobe for storage and a mirror. 
Bedroom 3: Two single beds and a bedside cabinet with lamp in-between.  There is a chair, hanging unit for clothes and a mirror.
Bathroom: This good-sized room incorporates a white bathroom suite including a bath with electric shower over, shower curtain and glass screen, decorative white tiling and Karndean flooring.

Perfect location. A flat 10-15 minute stroll takes you into the town. Close proximity of allocated parking space was good. A well equipped apartment with wonderful views. The welcome pack/touches were very much appreciated.

We have been holidaying in number 3 for the past 4 years, our little haven by the sea. We usually stay for 2 weeks and have already booked for 2026. Beautifully presented apartment, clean and comfortable with wonderful views. There is plenty for us do as well as having some R&R time. We wouldnt want to stay anywhere else!

Nice apartment spacious, well equipped. Our problems for our week was that we had a plague of flies totalling about 100 the cause unknown but was reported daily. This detracted a lot from the break we were looking forward to as it was to celebrate a special birthday. There was a frustrating problem with the operation of the tv. Which was an unknownRead more System to use. The windows in the property were difficult to open or stay open if tried. We also had to sort out a sink waste problem which was also reported to Holiday Cottages. And lastly 2 sets of keys would have been ideal. All in all 5 out of 10. Lovely clean and well equipped property in a great location, a comfortable place for a few days away. Parking is a big plus, ten minutes walk gets you to the cobblestone streets and swing bridge giving easy access to everything Whitby has to offer.

The flat was very clean plenty of room lovely views out to Witby would of been nice to have left at a more convenient time 9 am in the morning is to early and 4 pm to get into the flat to late most of the day was gone when we arrived

Many plusses for this apartment however hassle from the adjoining property owner a little off-putting. Patio furniture not in keeping with quality of internal furnishings.
