Little and Great Walsingham are only a mile apart and you would think by the names that Great would be larger than Little, but this is not the case! Both villages are surrounded by lovely, undulating countryside between the picturesque Glaven Valley and the North Norfolk Coast. The sandy beaches of Wells and Holkham are a short distance away. Little Walsingham is the more historic of the two, with The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham and Walsingham Abbey grounds as well as an excellent and award-winning farm shop, numerous cafes, a renowned fish & chip shop which is a well-kept secret, and pubs and restaurants. Great Walsingham has a craft centre with shops, and pie shop/restaurant. Cycle routes 1 & 2 are on the doorstop and will take you to the coastal villages of Cley, Salthouse and Weybourne.
