Harbour Reach is a beautifully set out two bedroomed cottage which sleeps four in the delightful town of Whitby on the North York Moors. The owners have taken a great deal of care to make this cottage perfect for your holiday with special touches like the black and white pictures of iconic sites in Whitby.  There is an open plan living/dining and kitchen area, just right for a small family to be together after a day in the moors or great for friends to enjoy each other’s company whilst preparing a tasty dinner from local Yorkshire fayre or to sit and relax in front of the large smart TV and watch a favourite film.  Go through the French windows into the garden and enjoy the sun while sharing a meal on the table and chairs provided. Upstairs you will find two comfortable bedrooms, both with an ensuite. Harbour Reach is only two minutes stroll to a grassy walk to the open areas on the top of the cliffs and the sea.  The property is located within three minutes’ drive of Whitby.  Here you will find a beach complete with donkey rides in the summer and some of the best fossil hunting in the country.  Captain James Cook was an apprentice here in Whitby before he sailed off and discovered Australia. Whitby Abbey, a Cistercian monastery, is said to be the inspiration for Bram Stokers Dracula and the Goth community hold their festival here every year. With history, art, nature and superb restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs and of course, fish and chips, there really is something for everyone in Whitby.

GROUND FLOOR

Lounge/Dining Room/Kitchen: A light and airy open plan room with French windows leading out into the garden. After a long day exploring the delights of Whitby relax on the luxury corner sofa with footstool watching the wall mounted Smart TV. There are two small tables with lamps and a standard lamp for ambient lighting. Enjoy your home cooked meal at the modern table with four comfy chairs. There is a very useful storage cupboard to put all those seaside things so essential for a day on the beach!
The kitchen area is modern and spacious and incorporates an electric oven with gas hob and hood over, dishwasher, fridge and washing machine. A window looks over the front of the property.  There is plenty of room and equipment for all your cooking needs
FIRST FLOOR
Landing: 
A staircase from the hallway area leads up to the landing which in turn leads to the bedrooms.

Bedroom 1: This is a truly delightful room, with a Juliette balcony letting in the sunlight and is a haven of calm.  There is a King-sized bed, bedside tables with lamps, large mirrored wardrobe with plenty of clothes storage and an occasional chair. There is a TV for you to enjoy a lazy morning in bed.
Ensuite: This is a real plus as it has a bath with shower over, just right to soak your weary limbs after a day on the beach.  There is a toilet and wash basin with lighted mirror above.

Bedroom 2:  This room boasts twin beds can be made up as a super king-sized bed if required. A bedside cabinet and built in wardrobe provide plenty of storage for your clothes. There is a wall-mounted TV for your enjoyment.  This room overlooks the front of the property.
Ensuite: A super addition to this cosy room, there is a corner shower, basin and sanitary ware, just right to wash the sand from between your toes

Garden/Patio: An enclosed garden kitted out with artificial turf, so no worries of the grass getting too long, with outside furniture, just the place for some al fresco dining in the sun. 
Pets: Not allowed
Parking: Parking for 1 car to the side of the property.
Heating: Gas central heating.
Short breaks: Accepted all year round.
Notes: Towels are provided. Unlimited WIFI available free of charge. Mobile phone signal is strong.
Pub: Town centre where you will find lots of bars and restaurants
Shop: Spar shop at the garage or Lidl both on Castle Street

Great place to stay, really clean with all the facilities you might need for a self catering holiday , car parking space also a plus Only a short walk from all the amenities in Whitby and great coastline walking Owner really responsive and friendly Would definitely return here and recommend to friends and family

Everything about it was outstanding. It was like home from home. It was spotlessly clean on our arrival with a welcome basket of local goodies. The kitchen was well stocked. The bathrooms were beautiful. The location for Whitby was excellent, and we visited Robin Hoods Bay, and Scarborough to the south, and Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Saltburn on SeRead morea to the north. Harbour Reach is first class accommodation. It is clean, comfortable, smart and well equipped. A particular bonus are the two en suites. It is convenient for the delights of Whitby seafront and town, which is a seafood lovers paradise. This property is beautifully decorated and is welcoming as you enter it has been furnished in a nice contemporary way and has everything you could need for your stay, very comfortable and clean would recomend Harbour Reach anytime.

Good location and parking is useful. I feel the cottage is a bit neglected now and needs maintenance to get it back to the 4 stars it was awarded. Overall it is comfortable and has a good range of equipment. Stayed here a few times before and wish the owner would get it back to the high standards it used to have.

A lovely, modern clean house with comfy beds and a small secure rear garden. The house was spotless throughout, kitchen well equipped and the welcome pack with yummy goodies was a lovely touch. Both bedrooms have an en-suite which was a great added bonus and there is also a cloakroom off the hall. The house is situated on a small estate away frRead moreom the hustle and bustle of Whitby but only about a 20/25 minute stroll to the centre (depending how fast you walk). A beautiful modern house. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable. Just about 10 minutes walk and you are on the West Cliff with amazing walks by the sea.

Cottage is comfortable and mostly well equipped. Good location for seafront, walking to Sandsend or into Whitby. Having parking is a bonus.
