Happisburgh is a historic village on the east coast of Norfolk with plenty to discover. Built in 1790, its iconic red and white striped lighthouse is the only independently owned and working lighthouse left in the country. It also has a 15th Century church and a pub that dates back to 1550. There is an ‘other world’ feel to the village, which also has a secluded sandy beach. This part of the coast offers up plenty of treasures for the visitor to discover, with pretty villages, sweeping sandy beaches and a seal colony at Horsey Gap. The Broads National Park is easily accessible and can offer plenty of happy days exploring its 125 miles of waterways, nature trails and more. There are good shopping centres at North Walsham and Wroxham and for culture vultures, Norwich is less than 20 miles away.
