Nice place, great views and lovely welcome pack. We spent a week here and there is plenty to do in the local area/wider area. The weather was great while we were there and the balcony and roof terrace was fabulous to sit in sun and watch the boats in the harbour. Second bedroom is 2 floors down - was nice and cool in the hot weather, if you havRead moree mobility issues, this property would be difficult for you to navigate. You are provided with scratch cards for parking and the parking zone is vast. However if you arrive on a busy weekend (like a bank holiday) finding a space can be difficult. The street the property is on, is a tiny street and parking is not directly outside. As a previous review said a strategy is needed for arrival/departure. So in short if you dont mind a short walk to car and can manage stairs, this property is so worth it for the amazing views. Hide

What a perfect location. You really do get what you pay for. We never used the upstairs balcony as the one outside the live=ing space was more than adequate - and a lot more private. Will hopefully visit again.

Fabulous views!! Warm and comfortable with amazing beds and linen. Easy 5 min walk to Whitby old town. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues due to number of stairs over 3 floors. There is no toilet on the lounge/kitchen level Please note large balcony seen on website photo is not off lounge but on the roof of the property but there is aRead more small balcony for morning coffee from lounge. Loved the views over the Harbour watching boats, sea and rowers. We loved it! Hide

Arrived in dark on a cold blustery night to find no heating on in kitchen/living area.It was so cold and took till the next day to feel any warmth which made the cottage feel very unwelcoming.

The views are amazing and well worth every penny. I know some reviews mention the stairs, but (as long as you don't have mobility issues) the views more than compensate for going up and down some stairs. I would definitely recommend.

The cottage is extremely well designed and constructed with superb, panoramic views over the East Cliffs Old Town and Abbey. It was a delight to sit on the balcony and watch the different crafts sailing by on the river Esk below us. The bedrooms are comfortable, well designed and with excellent en-suites. The cottage is very well situated on a qRead moreuiet road only minutes walk away from all the towns amenities. Because the cottage is built into the cliff, it necessarily has stairs to link the three levels of lower bedroom, upper bedroom and kitchen/living area with balcony. There is also a flight of some 10 or so steps down from the street level to the cottages front door. It might not suit those with mobility issues. We had an excellent stay in this uniquely designed and well appointed, stylish cottage. Hide

Spotlesslessly clean and well appointed property. Although the description is accurate, it needs to be borne in mind that it is not possible to park near the property, even to load/unload and bags/cases need to be carried down about 8 steps to the front door and then down stairs inside to the bedrooms.
