Dormy House is a modern three bedroom property located near the village of Westward Ho!, ideally situated between the pretty fishing village of Appledore and the beach and surfing resort of Westward Ho! Beautifully decorated using a bright nautical theme the property is ideal for couples and families looking for a quiet base to enjoy all that this area has to offer. Ideally situated backing onto  Northam Burrows Country Park Nature Reserve, perfect to spend the day exploring the beauty of nature. The Pebble Ridge development has direct access onto Royal North Devon Golf Club which welcomes visitors. This is a reversed living house with three bedrooms on the ground floor (two with en suites and a family bathroom) plus a garden room.

GROUND FLOOR

Garden room:  two seater settee, armchair , side table and a coffee table.  Bifold doors give access to the rear garden with views over Northam Burrows

Bedroom 1 king size bed, bedside tables with lamps, chest of drawers, walk in wardrobe, wall mounted TV. This room has bifold doors giving access  to the outside space. En-suite with walk-in shower, hand basin, W.C. and heated towel rail.

Bedroom 2 King size bed, chest of drawers , wardrobe and bedside tables with lamps. En-suite with walk-in shower, hand basin, W.C. and heated towel rail.

Bedroom 3: Twin beds, wardrobe, bedside table with lamp. 

Family bathroom: Bath with shower attachment, W.C. and hand basin and heated towel rail

 

FIRST FLOOR

Open plan Kitchen/Dining area: Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, combination microwave, washing machine, electric oven, hob and plate warmer. Dining area with a table and six chairs. Corner sofa, three armchairs and a flat screen TV. Bifold doors give access to the balcony with seating and stunning views over the countryside towards the sea where you can also capture stunning sunsets over Lundy Island.

Garden: Lawned garden with outside table and chairs provided. There is a garden store providing storage for bicycles with electricity suitable for charging an electric golf trolly. There is direct access from the Pebble Ridge development onto The Royal North Devon Golf Club which welcomes visitors.

Parking There is private parking for two cars

Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250, which is payable to Marsdens Devon Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

Power & Heat: Gas and Electricity included in Rent. 

Bedding & Linen: Bed linen and towels are provided. (Please bring your own beach towels).

Notes: No smoking. Pets allowed. Wifi provided. Please note that a child stair gate cannot be fixed to the glass balustrade at the bottom of the stairs, but there is a child stair gate at the top of the stairs.

Beautiful house with amazing view and lovely quiet location. Liked westward ho though beach was windy. Privacy in garden was non existent due to proximity to golfers. House was great though, lovely sofas, kitchen and plenty of bathrooms. Would return.

Lovely place to stay and from the balcony there is a stunning view of Northam Burrows country park and the distant pebble ridge and sea beyond. Modern and clean throughout with a seaside holiday theme. Quite enjoyable watching the golfers, especially the golf shots into the pond!

We had a very enjoyable family stay at Dormy House over Christmas, the decorated tree was a lovely surprise. The house is spotless & very tastefully decorated, the light fittings have the wow factor. It has a beautiful view over the golf course & Northam Burrows nature reserve. It is ideally located for the beach, walking into Westward Ho! & to ApRead morepledore & Instow and further afield. Having just spent a week at Dormy house we found the property to be in an amazing location with fantastic views. The property is modern and really clean with everything you could want to hand. Situated just a 10 to 15 minute walk from Westwood Ho! where we found many great places to eat along with other attractions to keep the whole family happy.

This was our second stay at Dormy House, the location is excellent both for the coast and for visiting National Trust, RHS and other gardens. It is very quiet and the Golf Club is very handy for a good breakfast or lunch. The accommodation is very comfortable and facilities are excellent with good wi-fi etc. Thinking about a third visit.
